📋 Description

• • As Engineering Manager of Managers, Data Platform at Stripe, you will lead a global engineering organization of approximately 40 engineers responsible for the foundational data infrastructure that powers the company’s data lake, orchestration pipelines, and batch computing environments. This role is critical to Stripe’s mission of increasing the GDP of the internet by ensuring reliable, scalable data systems that support payment processing, revenue growth, and business innovation.
• • Day to day, you will define the strategic vision and roadmap for Stripe’s data platform, overseeing technical execution across four core domains: Datalake (Storage) using Amazon S3 and Apache Iceberg, Data Orchestration with Apache Airflow, Batch Compute Infra including Hadoop, and Batch Compute Experience leveraging Apache Spark and Celeborn. You will manage engineering managers, drive operational excellence, and use indirect influence to align cross-functional teams with your organization’s goals.
• • You will join Stripe’s Big Data Infrastructure organization, a globally distributed team spanning Dublin, Bangalore, Seattle, and San Francisco. This team serves as the backbone of Stripe’s data ecosystem, building and maintaining highly reliable platforms that enable data storage, orchestration, and processing at scale for one of the world’s most advanced financial infrastructure platforms.
