- • Engineering Manager for the Security Squad at BlaBlaCar, leading a team responsible for safeguarding the platform’s infrastructure, applications, and data across 21 countries serving 27 million annual users.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and mentoring a team of security engineers, defining security strategy and roadmap, collaborating with product and engineering teams to integrate security into the development lifecycle, conducting threat modeling and risk assessments, overseeing incident response and vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.
- • BlaBlaCar is a global, purpose-driven company with 800 employees from over 50 nationalities, operating across 5 offices with 30% remote work, committed to building sustainable and safe travel experiences through technology.
- • In this role, you will grow as a technical leader, deepen your expertise in application and infrastructure security at scale, influence company-wide security culture, and drive measurable improvements in risk reduction and resilience while working with a diverse, international team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead in security, application security, or infrastructure security
- • Strong background in software engineering with hands-on experience in secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment
- • Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
- • Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, GCP, or Azure), container security, and DevSecOps practices
- • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
