- • The Engineering Specialist role at Washing Systems, LLC (WSI), now part of Kao Corporation, is a key position supporting the Engineering/Equipment Department by managing engineering projects, equipment installation and maintenance, and providing technical guidance to ensure operational excellence and innovation in commercial laundry chemical solutions.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing and managing engineering projects, directing equipment installation and testing, evaluating product designs, consulting with customers and vendors to resolve technical issues, preparing reports, approving expenditures, developing engineering policies and procedures, initiating equipment modifications for quality and cost improvements, identifying advanced technologies for business development, and assisting the Director of Engineering in coordinating work for project management and daily operations.
- • WSI is the largest supplier of laundry chemicals to the commercial laundry industry in North America, known for science-based, performance-focused innovations that enhance cleaning, processing, and disinfection of textiles while improving plant efficiency, productivity, and environmental sustainability. The company operates globally with headquarters in Ohio and additional offices across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in industrial equipment engineering, project management, technical problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration. They will gain experience in designing and improving engineering processes, implementing cost-reduction initiatives, and working with advanced technologies such as Auto CAD and PLC systems, positioning them for growth into senior engineering or technical leadership roles.
