- • As an English Screener at Walter GmbH supporting Toptal’s exclusive talent network, you will serve as a critical first point of contact for applicants seeking to join a global community of top-tier freelancers in software, design, finance, and project management. Your role ensures that only candidates with exceptional English proficiency, professionalism, and cultural fit advance, directly upholding Toptal’s reputation for excellence.
- • Day to day, you will conduct live English screening interviews and review recorded video submissions, assessing candidates’ language skills, communication clarity, and overall suitability for the network. You will document detailed feedback after each assessment, guide applicants through the process with empathy and professionalism, and collaborate with your team to maintain consistent screening standards.
- • You will be part of a distributed, high-performing English Screening Team operating remotely across APAC, EU, and US time zones. The team is dedicated to delivering a seamless, positive candidate experience while continuously refining screening workflows to improve efficiency and quality.
- • In this role, you will sharpen your interviewing and assessment abilities, gain exposure to diverse professional backgrounds and global talent pools, and develop expertise in remote candidate engagement—skills that are highly transferable to careers in recruitment, HR, talent operations, and client-facing roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- • Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills
- • Experience conducting interviews or candidate assessments is preferred
- • Comfortable handling video calls and engaging with global candidates
- • Highly organized with strong time management skills
- • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- • Comfortable using tools such as Slack and other collaboration platforms
- • Experience in remote work environments is a plus
