- • Own the Central Region (Denver, Austin, Chicago) and be the first boots-on-the-ground Enterprise AE for Braintrust, the AI observability platform trusted by Notion, Stripe, Zapier, Vercel, and Ramp. You will inherit a warm pipeline from marquee logos and be given the autonomy to craft the next chapter of our revenue story.
- • Run the entire deal cycle—from cold outreach to signed contract to renewal—while acting as a strategic advisor to VP-level engineering and product leaders who are racing to ship reliable AI features. Your prospects are already feeling the pain of black-box models; you will translate Braintrust’s evals + observability workflow into a must-have control layer for their production stack.
- • Build and iterate on our Central Region GTM playbook. You’ll partner with founders, marketing, and solutions engineering to define ICP criteria, vertical messaging, and repeatable sales motions that can be cloned into other regions. Expect to test, measure, and refine—then write the playbook the next wave of AEs will follow.
- • Quarterback complex, multi-stakeholder deals ($100K–$1M+ ARR) that involve CTOs, Staff Engineers, Security, and Procurement. You will map org charts, create mutual close plans, and run proof-of-value workshops that turn skeptical engineers into vocal champions.
- • Deliver technical demos that go under the hood of tracing, evaluation sets, and regression alerting. You don’t need to write Python, but you do need to read it—comfortably explaining how a customer’s custom eval function surfaces drift before it hits users.
- • Exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets while maintaining >90% logo retention. You will own expansion motions, turning a single-team deployment into an enterprise-wide standard and growing accounts 3-5× within the first 18 months.
- • Feed the product loop: distill field insights into feature requests that our engineering team ships within weeks. Your voice will directly influence roadmap priorities like cost-per-token analytics and fine-tuning guardrails.
- • Travel up to 30% to customer sites, regional meetups, and AI conferences (Denver, Austin, Chicago, plus SF offsites). When you’re home, enjoy the flexibility of remote-first culture and asynchronous Slack stand-ups.
- • Champion Braintrust’s mission to make AI reliable for everyone. You’ll mentor future hires, contribute to a culture of radical candor, and celebrate wins with teammates who genuinely believe the best product should win.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of full-cycle SaaS sales with consistent $1M+ ARR quota attainment
- • Proven track record closing technical deals with engineering or data-science buyers
- • Deep curiosity about AI/ML tooling—able to discuss embeddings, eval metrics, and LLM observability
- • Remote-first self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; high-growth startup background preferred
