- • Enterprise Account Executive role focused on driving revenue growth by selling Kong's API and AI connectivity platform to large enterprise customers in Central USA, directly impacting recurring revenue stability and expansion in a high-growth technology company.
- • Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to build and maintain a robust pipeline of enterprise customers, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach to contract negotiation and closing deals while consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on customer needs, deliver customized demos and presentations, and provide feedback that influences product development and go-to-market strategies.
- • Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor to understand pain points, align Kong’s solutions to business outcomes, and drive customer satisfaction, retention, and account expansion.
- • Lead account planning by researching target accounts, analyzing industry trends, and developing strategic plans to win new business and grow existing accounts, while accurately forecasting opportunities and tracking all activities in CRM systems.
- • Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics to effectively position Kong’s platform and maintain a competitive edge in the enterprise software landscape.
- • Represent Kong as a brand ambassador at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings, demonstrating professionalism and passion for the company’s mission to power the agentic era through API and AI connectivity.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales targeting organizations with over 1,000 employees, with a proven track record of closing complex deals in SaaS, cloud, or enterprise software environments.
- • Demonstrated success selling to large enterprises, particularly engaging senior-level executives and influencing decisions across multiple departments.
- • Strong consultative selling skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and experience leveraging CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) to forecast accurately and track sales metrics.
