  • As an Enterprise Account Executive for Japan Global Companies at SonarSource SA, you will be at the forefront of driving significant growth within a key strategic market. Your primary mission will be to introduce and expand the adoption of Sonar's industry-leading solutions for code quality and security to large, complex organizations in Japan. This role demands a seasoned sales professional with a deep understanding of enterprise software sales cycles, a proven ability to navigate intricate organizational structures, and a passion for helping developers and their organizations achieve higher levels of productivity, security, and code maintainability.
  • You will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to closing complex enterprise deals. This involves identifying and engaging with key stakeholders across various departments, including Engineering, Development, Security, and Procurement. A critical aspect of your role will be to understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by global companies operating in Japan, and to articulate how Sonar's platform can provide tangible business value, such as reducing technical debt, mitigating security risks, accelerating development velocity, and improving the overall developer experience.
  • Your day-to-day activities will include conducting in-depth discovery calls to uncover customer needs, delivering compelling product demonstrations tailored to specific use cases, building strong relationships with champions and economic buyers, and developing strategic account plans to ensure long-term customer success and expansion. You will collaborate closely with our Sales Engineering team to provide technical expertise and solutions, and with our Marketing and Product teams to provide market feedback and contribute to our go-to-market strategies.
  • A significant part of your success will hinge on your ability to prospect effectively within your assigned territory. This means proactively identifying target accounts, researching their business objectives and technical landscapes, and initiating meaningful conversations that highlight Sonar's unique value proposition. You will need to master the art of identifying the customer's buying circle and pinpointing the economic buyers who hold the authority to make significant purchasing decisions.
  • You will be expected to not only highlight the product's value but also to drive adoption and significantly expand our customer base. This involves understanding the competitive landscape, positioning Sonar effectively against alternatives, and demonstrating a clear return on investment for our prospects. Engaging with developers, decision-makers, and procurement teams in diverse industries and company sizes will be crucial, requiring adaptability and a nuanced approach to each interaction.
  • This role offers a unique opportunity to directly influence the direction and processes of our Sales Team and the broader organization as we continue our rapid global expansion. Your insights, experiences, and successes will be invaluable in shaping our strategies and refining our approach to serving enterprise clients. 🎯 Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in enterprise software sales, specifically selling complex solutions to large organizations.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, code quality, and application security concepts.
  • Native or near-native fluency in Japanese and strong business-level English proficiency.
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, including C-level executives, VPs of Engineering, and procurement.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, build pipeline, and close significant deals in a competitive market.
