  • DeepL is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive to spearhead the strategic expansion of our Language AI platform within the German Public Sector, specifically focusing on federal ministries, subordinate authorities, and social insurance institutions. This is a unique opportunity to act as a Market Owner for highly regulated, security-conscious organizations with intricate decision-making, budgetary, and procurement structures. You will be instrumental in establishing DeepL as a holistic platform with a clearly defined AI strategy, driving sustainable adoption across these critical governmental and social welfare entities.
  • Currently, there are initial uses of DeepL within these segments, owing to the product's low barrier to entry. Your primary objective will be to elevate these existing engagements into comprehensive, organization-wide deployments, positioning DeepL as an indispensable component of the digital working environment. This involves developing and implementing a tailored Go-to-Market strategy that addresses the specific nuances of the federal market, including governance, budget cycles, and procurement regulations.
  • A crucial aspect of your role will be identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing relevant use cases that demonstrate the concrete added value of DeepL within federal administrative, functional, and organizational contexts. You will collaborate closely with clients to co-develop and implement these use cases, ensuring they are scalable and can be rolled out across entire organizations. This requires a deep understanding of how AI capabilities can be integrated as an integral part of the product to support core organizational, communication, and transformation goals.
  • Success in this position hinges on your ability to gain direct access to the highest levels of leadership within federal agencies and social insurance providers. You will position DeepL at the executive level as a strategic product that supports key organizational objectives, enhances communication efficiency, and drives digital transformation initiatives. This involves navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, including political, functional, IT, security, and procurement departments.
  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of defined federal and social insurance accounts. This includes nurturing existing relationships, identifying opportunities for expansion, and transforming initial product usage into strategic, organization-wide implementations. Your efforts will be key in establishing DeepL as a long-term strategic partner for these entities.
  • A significant part of your responsibility will involve managing complex tender, contract, and coordination processes. You will work closely with internal teams, including Legal, Security, Product, and Leadership, to ensure smooth and compliant procurement and implementation cycles. Building robust reference customers with nationwide impact will be a testament to your success in this area.
  • Furthermore, you will develop and orchestrate a partner strategy, collaborating with key players such as federal IT service providers, system integrators, and consultancies. Establishing structured co-selling and market development models with these partners will be essential for broadening DeepL's reach and impact within the public sector.
  • The role demands a proactive approach to market analysis, staying abreast of specific framework conditions, and adapting strategies accordingly. You will be the primary point of contact for these high-value accounts, fostering strong, long-term relationships built on trust and demonstrated value.
  • By effectively communicating the product and AI value proposition in a structured and market-relevant manner, you will drive the adoption of DeepL's advanced language AI solutions, contributing significantly to the company's growth and mission to break down language barriers globally.
