đź“‹ Description
- • Ping Identity is seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join its Business Transformation Office (BTO). This pivotal role is designed for an individual who thrives in a hands-on, business-aligned capacity, focusing on the strategic development and governance of enterprise architecture across critical business functions. The Enterprise Architect will be instrumental in shaping the future of Ping Identity's digital experiences by ensuring secure, seamless, and efficient interactions for all users. This position reports to the Director of the Business Transformation Office and collaborates extensively with key stakeholders across the CIO organization, AI & Data, Go-to-Market, Customer Experience, Finance, and Product teams. The core mission of this role is to drive architectural excellence that supports business objectives, particularly within the context of buyer and customer journeys and the strategic implementation of AI technologies, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and rapid value realization.
- • In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end enterprise architecture for Ping's Buyer and Customer Journeys, meticulously mapping and maintaining these critical pathways from initial engagement through to renewal and expansion. This involves a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of systems, data, and ownership across the entire lifecycle. You will also play a crucial role in supporting the development of scalable enterprise architectures for AI initiatives, ensuring these solutions are designed for broad reusability across various functions within the organization. A significant aspect of your responsibility will be to govern platform and application choices, applying a keen eye towards Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), scalability, and the speed at which value can be delivered. This governance extends to establishing clear criteria and decision frameworks for assessing and selecting new platforms and tools, as well as leading regular reviews to rationalize the existing technology stack within the Buyer and Customer Journey domain.
- • You will act as a trusted advisor, partnering closely with product managers, business analysts, IS architects, and delivery teams to articulate architectural implications and establish guardrails. This ensures that product roadmaps and development backlogs are strategically aligned with the target architecture for Buyer and Customer Journeys. Your engagement will begin early in the ideation phase, where you will collaborate with BTO strategy, experience, and business leaders to clarify opportunity areas, identify architectural constraints, and explore potential options. This upfront involvement ensures that innovative ideas are grounded in practical reality while remaining ambitious. Furthermore, you will serve as an architecture accelerator for mobilized initiatives. Once a project is greenlit, you will drive the definition of target-state architecture, establish architectural patterns, and navigate complex trade-offs, such as defining MVP scope, integration strategies, and data requirements. Your guidance will unblock decision-making processes, enabling delivery teams to transition from concept to execution with confidence and clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- • The team at Ping Identity is dedicated to fostering an environment of digital freedom, where innovation and collaboration are paramount. The Business Transformation Office (BTO) is at the forefront of driving strategic change and operational excellence across the organization. This team works cross-functionally to ensure that technology and business processes are aligned to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business growth. You will be part of a culture that values individuality, encourages authentic self-expression, and champions diversity. Ping Identity serves some of the world's largest enterprises, and this role offers the opportunity to impact how these organizations approach cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management on a global scale.
- • This role presents a significant opportunity for professional growth and development. You will gain invaluable experience in shaping enterprise-wide architectural strategies for complex B2B SaaS environments, with a particular focus on Go-to-Market and Customer Experience domains. You will deepen your expertise in core GTM and CX platforms, data platforms, and data governance, and develop a sophisticated understanding of how these elements integrate to support AI/BI initiatives and create a unified view of the customer. The position offers the chance to translate abstract business value and journey-based methodologies into concrete architectural principles and guardrails. You will hone your ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization, build consensus among diverse stakeholders, and mentor other architects and technical leads. By engaging early in strategic discussions and driving architectural clarity for key initiatives, you will directly contribute to the company's success and gain recognition as a key strategic partner within the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years in enterprise architecture roles within B2B SaaS or similarly complex environments, with demonstrable ownership of end-to-end journeys (Buyer and/or Customer).
- • Strong fluency in core GTM and CX platforms (e.g., Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud and CPQ/Revenue, Gainsight or similar CS tools, support platforms, billing) and their integration across the Buyer and Customer Journeys.
- • Strong fluency in data platforms and data governance (e.g., Databricks or similar lakehouse environments, metric stores, semantic layers) and their role in supporting AI/BI, agents, and a single view of customer/contact.
- • Experience translating value- or journey-based methods into architectural principles and guardrails that guide platform, domain, and integration decisions.
- • A process-first, outcome-first mindset with a bias toward measurable value, including a strong understanding of baselines, KPIs, and observability.
- • Proven ability to lead through influence in matrixed environments and to mentor and grow other architects and developer leads.
- • Excellent visual and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex architectural concepts to diverse audiences, from executives to technical teams.
