📋 Description

• As an Enterprise Solutions Engineer for Ohio/Indiana, SLED at Verkada, you will serve as the technical authority on the company’s AI-powered physical security platform, partnering directly with account executives to expand the company’s footprint into Fortune 500 organizations across the public sector.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include overcoming technical objections during the sales process, designing customer deployments using Verkada’s video security, access control, air quality sensors, alarms, intercoms, and visitor management systems, and providing technical guidance to both customers and internal sales teams.
• You will act as a product evangelist, presenting complex technical solutions to diverse audiences ranging from C-level executives to IT directors and loss prevention managers, while training partners and internal staff on new product offerings.
• This role demands frequent travel—more than 50% of the time—across domestic and potentially international locations to support customer engagements, partner collaborations, and team initiatives, requiring independence, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills.
• You will join a rapidly growing, mission-driven company that protects over 30,000 organizations globally, including 100+ Fortune 500 companies, with a platform that unifies video security, access control, environmental monitoring, and more into a single cloud-based system.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise sales engineering, cloud security, IoT systems, and network infrastructure while contributing directly to Verkada’s growth in the public sector and enterprise markets.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer with a proven track record working with Fortune 500 companies.
• Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills to clearly articulate technical concepts to customers and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or security field from an accredited university.
• Strong background in networking fundamentals including HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, and firewalls.
• Industry certifications such as AWS, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure, CISSP, or CSP are considered a bonus.
• Experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, Python, or other scripting languages is a plus.
