đź“‹ Description

  • • KPA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Risk Management Consultant to join our esteemed Risk Management team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fostering and sustaining robust client relationships, providing essential support for their Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance needs. Our core mission at KPA is to ensure our clients' employees can return home safely each day, free from workplace accidents or injuries. You will be a key contributor to achieving this mission by leveraging KPA's integrated approach of software, consulting, and training to empower clients to proactively identify, effectively remedy, and consistently prevent workplace safety and compliance issues. By doing so, you will enable our clients to concentrate on their core business operations with confidence and peace of mind.
  • • As an EHS Risk Management Consultant, your primary objective will be to meticulously assess and mitigate risks for our clients, thereby enhancing their profitability and operational efficiency. This involves a deep dive into their existing EHS programs, identifying potential hazards, and recommending practical, actionable solutions that align with regulatory requirements and best industry practices. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through complex compliance landscapes and helping them build resilient, safe, and thriving organizations.
  • • This position is based out of the employee’s home office in the Houston, TX area, offering the flexibility of remote work. However, it requires a significant commitment to client engagement through frequent site visits within your designated regional territory, which includes Houston and its surrounding areas. This travel component is essential for building strong, in-person relationships and conducting thorough on-site assessments. Overnight travel will be necessary to effectively serve clients across the region.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of EHS consulting services. This includes conducting comprehensive EHS audits and assessments, developing customized safety programs and procedures, delivering engaging safety training sessions to client workforces, and assisting clients in responding to and investigating workplace incidents. You will also be responsible for staying abreast of evolving EHS regulations and standards, ensuring that your recommendations are always current and compliant.
  • • You will play a critical role in risk analysis, helping clients understand their risk exposure and implement strategies to minimize potential liabilities. This might involve developing emergency preparedness plans, advising on chemical safety, promoting ergonomic best practices, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Your expertise will directly contribute to reducing workers' compensation claims, improving employee morale, and safeguarding the client's reputation.
  • • Building and nurturing long-term partnerships with clients is paramount. You will serve as their primary point of contact for EHS matters, demonstrating a proactive and responsive approach to their needs. This involves understanding their unique business operations, challenges, and goals to provide tailored EHS solutions.
  • • Collaboration is key within KPA. You will work closely with other members of the Risk Management team, sharing insights, best practices, and supporting colleagues to ensure a cohesive and high-quality service delivery. You will also leverage KPA’s proprietary software solutions to enhance client engagement and data management, providing them with valuable insights and reporting capabilities.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various industry-specific EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and a proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, understandable guidance for diverse audiences. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential in presenting findings, recommendations, and training materials effectively.
  • • By joining KPA, you become part of a company recognized for its commitment to employee well-being and professional development. We have been honored as one of Built In Colorado’s Best Places to Work for seven consecutive years, reflecting our positive and collaborative work environment. We are looking for passionate individuals who share our common goal of helping clients build safe, thriving organizations and are eager to contribute to our continued success.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact on workplace safety across a diverse range of businesses. You will be empowered to drive positive change, foster a culture of safety, and contribute to the overall success and sustainability of our clients' operations. If you are a proactive, results-oriented EHS professional with a passion for client service and a desire to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.

  • • Proven experience in conducting EHS audits, risk assessments, and developing safety programs.
  • • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
