📋 Description

• This Events Manager role at OpenAI supports the execution of high-impact events under the Head of EMEA Events, managing operations, vendor coordination, guest experience, and post-event reporting to ensure exceptional attendee experiences in a fast-paced environment.
• Day to day, the person will manage end-to-end event execution including workstreams, registration, guest experience, catering, and on-site production; develop and maintain project timelines; source and coordinate with vendors; oversee attendee registration and communications; maintain financial records and budget tracking; collaborate with internal stakeholders on design, procurement, and security; implement safety and security protocols; and collect, analyze, and report event metrics and feedback.
• OpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity, pushing AI boundaries while prioritizing safety and human needs, and valuing diverse perspectives in its mission.
• The person can learn to lead high-profile corporate events in a cutting-edge AI environment, deepen expertise in vendor management and budget control, gain experience with event tech platforms like AirTable and Swoogo, and contribute to measuring event ROI and attendee satisfaction to shape future AI showcases.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of event production experience managing end-to-end planning, onsite execution, and post-event analysis
• Proven ability to lead guest experience and own front-of-house operations and vendor coordination for high-profile corporate events
• Strong capabilities in using Mac and event software systems such as AirTable, Luma, Swoogo, and Google Sheets
• Passion for OpenAI’s mission and excitement about showcasing cutting-edge AI technology through impactful event experiences
