Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • As an Events Marketing professional at Clay Labs Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s European presence by designing and executing high-impact B2B events that align with Clay’s mission to turn growth ideas into reality through creativity and innovation. Your work will directly contribute to brand visibility, pipeline generation, and customer engagement across key European tech hubs, ensuring that every activation reflects Clay’s distinctive culture and operating principles.
  • • You will own the end-to-end strategy, production, and delivery of Clay’s European events program, collaborating closely with the Head of Events in San Francisco and cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, partnerships, and customer success to ensure each event drives measurable business outcomes while embodying Clay’s brand of thoughtful, human-centered innovation.
  • • Day to day, you will drive the European events program by planning, producing, and delivering a diverse portfolio of events — from intimate executive dinners and roundtables to large-scale meetups, summits, and sponsored industry conferences — across London, Berlin, Amsterdam, and Stockholm, tailoring formats to audience and objective.
  • • You will connect event strategy to business outcomes by partnering with marketing and sales leadership to define clear goals, target audiences, and success metrics for each event, ensuring alignment with pipeline, brand awareness, and customer engagement targets through rigorous tracking and reporting.
  • • You will manage events end-to-end and build trusted vendor relationships across Europe, overseeing venue sourcing, contract negotiations, run-of-show development, and on-site execution, while cultivating a network of reliable partners who consistently deliver high-quality experiences.
  • • You will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders by leading planning syncs, maintaining timelines, and ensuring alignment across busy teams without creating overload, acting as the central hub for communication and preparation.
  • • You will manage budgets with discipline, owning financial planning and tracking for all events, negotiating favorable terms, monitoring spend in real time, and ensuring every pound and euro is invested strategically to maximize ROI.
  • • You will handle multi-market logistics, navigating country-specific requirements including permits, local regulations, cultural nuances, language considerations, and timezone coordination to ensure seamless execution across borders.
  • • You will develop scalable processes by creating repeatable playbooks, templates, and frameworks that allow the events program to grow efficiently without sacrificing quality, consistency, or the distinctive Clay touch.
  • • You will work within a uniquely creative and mission-driven culture where employees are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work — whether as DJs, activists, writers, or marathoners — supported by access to world-class coaches in creativity, management, and personal development, all guided by Clay’s operating principles of negative maintenance and non-attached action.
  • • In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape a growing global events function at a fast-scaling, innovative company backed by Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round, with the chance to leave a lasting mark on how Clay connects with enterprise buyers, partners, and the tech community across Europe.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in B2B event production, with a proven track record of successfully delivering events in European markets.
  • • Multi-city, multi-country experience producing events across at least two or three European countries, with understanding of regional differences in regulations, culture, and logistics.
  • • Strong production instinct and attention to attendee experience, with ability to craft events that feel polished, purposeful, and on-brand beyond just logistics.
  • • Demonstrated ability to track and articulate event ROI, connecting activities to pipeline, revenue, and brand goals using metrics familiar to sales and marketing teams.
  • • Excellent vendor and budget management skills, including experience negotiating contracts and managing large event budgets across multiple markets.
  • • Calm, organised presence under pressure, with proven ability to troubleshoot live-event issues quickly while maintaining team focus and composure.
  • • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging senior leadership, guiding executives, and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • • Fluent English is required; additional European languages (German, Dutch, Swedish, etc.) are a nice-to-have but not essential.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Opportunity to work at a fast-growing, innovative company that recently raised a $100M Series C and surpassed $100M in revenue, backed by top-tier investors including Sequoia, CapitalG, and First Round.
  • • Access to a vibrant, inclusive culture where employees are encouraged to pursue passions outside work — from DJing and activism to skydiving and social work — supported by company-sponsored coaching in creativity, management, and personal development.
  • • Hybrid work flexibility based in London, with the chance to travel across European tech hubs (Berlin, Amsterdam, Stockholm) to produce events and build local vendor relationships.
  • • Exposure to high-profile clients and partners including Anthropic, Notion, Google, and Ramp, with events designed to engage enterprise buyers and the broader tech community.
  • • Ability to build scalable systems and leave a lasting impact on Clay’s European events strategy, with autonomy to shape processes, vendor networks, and program growth.
  • • Participation in a company with a strong mission-driven culture, guided by unique operating principles like negative maintenance and non-attached action, fostering both professional and personal growth.
