📋 Description

  • • **Shape Faire's Corporate Narrative:** As the Executive Communications Lead, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the overarching communication strategy that shapes how employees understand and engage with Faire as a business. This pivotal role involves synthesizing complex information from across the organization into a cohesive and compelling narrative that reinforces our vision, strategic priorities, and overall performance. You will proactively identify opportunities to enhance the resonance of our corporate story, fostering deeper understanding and building unwavering confidence in our executive leadership team.
  • • **Serve as a High-Level Drafting Partner for the C-Suite:** You will act as a trusted, first-thought drafting partner for our Core executive team, specializing in crafting strategic documents, internal memos, and critical customer narrative work. Your expertise will ensure that all executive communications are not only clear and concise but also consistently reflect an authentic and unified leadership voice. This includes translating intricate business strategies and sensitive information into accessible and impactful messages for internal audiences.
  • • **Drive Communication Cascades and Manager Enablement:** You will be the primary owner (DRI) for ensuring effective information flow from leadership down to all levels of the organization. This involves developing comprehensive toolkits and resources that empower managers to effectively communicate key messages and company narratives within their respective teams. The goal is to equip managers with the confidence and clarity to 'own' the story at the appropriate altitude for every layer of the organization, ensuring consistent understanding and alignment.
  • • **Lead Performance and Strategy Storytelling:** Take the lead in crafting the internal narrative around major company milestones, recurring business cycles, and strategic initiatives. Your work will ensure that all employees have a clear understanding of our progress, our ambitious goals, and how we are successfully navigating and winning in the market. This involves translating data, metrics, and strategic insights into engaging stories that inspire and inform.
  • • **Manage Sensitive and High-Stakes Announcements:** You will spearhead internal communications for critical and often sensitive company moments. This includes managing the narrative for significant business partnerships, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), major product launches, and leadership transitions. Your ability to handle these high-stakes situations with discretion and strategic clarity will be crucial in maintaining employee trust and alignment.
  • • **Develop Narrative for Flagship Company Events:** Play a key role in shaping the narrative and content for important company-wide events. You will leverage key metrics, compelling customer spotlights, and insightful launch recaps to effectively demonstrate business momentum and reinforce our strategic direction to the entire organization.
  • • **Lead Internal Response for Crisis and Reputation Management:** In collaboration with the External Communications team, you will lead the internal response to sensitive issues and potential crises. Your focus will be on ensuring narrative alignment between internal and external messaging, coordinating efforts to maintain employee trust, and providing clear, timely, and consistent information during challenging times.
  • • **Embed with Cross-Functional Teams:** Proactively engage and build strong relationships with leaders across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance. Your role will involve embedding yourself within these teams to deeply understand their strategies, challenges, and successes, enabling you to proactively extract and shape compelling stories before they become formal announcements. This collaborative approach ensures that internal communications are informed, accurate, and strategically aligned.
  • • **Foster Employee Insight and Empathy:** Develop a deep understanding of employee sentiment across different teams and regions. You will use this insight to anticipate how business shifts, strategic changes, and important announcements will be received, allowing you to craft communications that are empathetic, relevant, and resonate with diverse employee groups.
  • • **Translate Business Acumen into Clear Communication:** Leverage your comfort with business metrics and strategy to explain the 'why' behind key business decisions to a broad, non-expert audience. You will be adept at simplifying complex information without losing its strategic essence, ensuring that all employees can grasp the rationale and importance of company direction.
  • • **Demonstrate Range and Altitude in Communication:** Showcase a proven ability to adapt your writing style and tone across a wide spectrum of communication needs. This includes crafting rigorous, data-driven business strategy documents as well as empathetic, culture-focused messages that reinforce Faire's values and mission.
  • • **Maintain High-Stakes Discretion and Pace:** Operate effectively in environments that require handling highly sensitive projects while maintaining the operational pace and agility of a fast-growing business. Your ability to balance confidentiality with timely communication will be essential.
