- • Install new residential garage doors, including removing existing doors and mechanical components.
- • Assemble and install door sections, slats, springs, hardware, and operational mechanisms using hand and power tools.
- • Run electrical wiring to connect garage door openers and related equipment.
- • Lubricate and test all mechanical parts to ensure proper function and safety compliance.
- • Educate customers on upgraded parts, maintenance services, and additional offerings to ensure satisfaction.
- • Document all installation activities, including parts used, time spent, and customer feedback.
- • Dispose of old garage doors and debris in accordance with company and environmental protocols.
- • Pick up all materials, tools, and components from the warehouse prior to each job.
- • Drive company-provided vehicle to customer residences across the Detroit market.
- • Maintain professional appearance and conduct during all customer interactions.
- • Perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- • Lift and maneuver garage door panels weighing up to 75 pounds, including lifting them above head height.
- • Utilize navigation apps, tablets, and computers for job routing, documentation, and communication.
- • Adhere to safety standards and company procedures during all installation and driving activities.
- • Participate in a 4-week paid training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ, to refine skills and learn company systems.
- • Receive ongoing support and training in customer experience and operational systems after relocation to Detroit.
- • Maintain a clean driving record and pass pre-employment drug screening (excluding THC) and criminal background check.
- • Operate independently with high reliability, ensuring zero call-backs through quality workmanship.
- • Demonstrate self-motivation and drive to achieve a six-figure annual income through piece-rate pay and commission.
- • Embrace continuous learning and professional growth within a high-volume, customer-facing environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 1 year of professional garage door installation experience
- • Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving history and clean record
- • Ability to lift 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including climbing ladders and working in extreme weather
- • Must pass pre-employment drug test (excluding THC) and criminal background check
- • Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and basic software (navigation apps, tablets, computers)
- • Eligible to work legally in the United States

- • $7,500 sign-on bonus for 1+ years’ experience; $10,000 sign-on bonus for 3+ years’ experience
- • Weekly pay with piece-rate compensation starting at $42/hour (up to $47.25 based on experience and performance)
