📋 Description

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. • As a Senior Backend Developer, your primary responsibility will be to build, test, and maintain robust, scalable web applications and microservices. You will leverage your expertise in PHP for core application logic and utilize Go (Golang) for high-concurrency tasks, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. This dual-language proficiency is key to bridging our existing PHP ecosystem with new, high-performance Go services, creating a seamless and powerful platform.
• Collaboration is at the heart of our development process. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features. This involves translating complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions, participating in code reviews, and contributing to architectural discussions. Your ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously within a team will be crucial for success.
• A significant aspect of this role involves optimizing application performance, security, and scalability. You will be tasked with identifying bottlenecks, implementing efficient algorithms, and ensuring our systems can handle increasing loads without compromising speed or reliability. Special emphasis will be placed on leveraging Go's strengths in handling concurrent operations, making it ideal for tasks requiring high throughput and low latency.
• Proactive troubleshooting and debugging will be a daily activity. You will be expected to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues that may arise across different language environments (PHP and Go). This requires a meticulous approach to problem-solving and the ability to dive deep into codebases to ensure smooth, uninterrupted functionality of our applications.
• You will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from initial concept and design through to deployment and ongoing maintenance. This includes writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, as well as developing comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and stability.

• You will be responsible for ensuring the security of our applications by implementing best practices in data protection, authentication, and authorization. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and proactively mitigating them.

🎯 Requirements
