- • Architect and build core services for Jimdo Companion, including the agent orchestration layer, recommendation engine, and Business Assistant, enabling personalized, data-driven guidance at scale.
- • Ship production-grade AI agents and agentic workflows that help microbusiness owners complete real business tasks such as creating content, setting up bookings, and optimizing their online presence.
- • Design and evolve the underlying AI platform to enable other product teams at Jimdo to build their own domain-specific AI agents without reinventing infrastructure.
- • Own features end-to-end across the full stack — from LLM orchestration and backend services (Node.js/TypeScript, AWS) to the React frontend used by hundreds of thousands of users daily.
- • Improve system intelligence by refining prompt strategies, tuning agent handoffs, implementing guardrails, and closing feedback loops between customer actions and measurable business outcomes.
- • Drive technical decisions on LLM provider integration, cost and latency optimization, and system resilience including multi-provider fallback, caching, and observability.
- • Collaborate with product managers, designers, data analysts, and engineers across teams to translate product vision into working software that increases customer transactions and retention.
- • Proactively identify and address technical debt, architectural risks, and scalability bottlenecks in a fast-moving AI product environment.
- • Leverage AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) daily as a core part of development workflow to increase velocity while maintaining code quality.
- • Critically evaluate AI-generated code, making informed decisions to accept, modify, or reject suggestions based on reliability, security, and performance.
- • Rapidly onboard into complex codebases and deliver meaningful contributions with minimal guidance.
- • Demonstrate strong product sense by focusing on the impact and purpose of features, not just technical implementation.
- • Set the standard for AI-augmented engineering within the team by mentoring peers and promoting best practices in AI-assisted development.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or technical leadership role.
- • Strong full-stack proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript backends and React frontends.
- • Deep experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and AWS cloud platform.
- • Hands-on experience shipping production AI features using LLMs, including prompt engineering, LLM API integration, and agentic workflows.
- • Expert-level proficiency with AI coding assistants (Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) and ability to use them to enhance development velocity.
- • Solid foundation in Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
