Full Job Description

📋 Description

  • As a Fachinformatiker im technischen Kundensupport for Allegion plc’s SimonsVoss Technologies, you will serve as the primary technical expert for digital locking systems, ensuring customers receive reliable, knowledgeable assistance that enhances safety and usability in smart living environments. Your role bridges technical problem-solving with customer empowerment, directly contributing to the company’s mission of securing and simplifying access through innovation.
  • Day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical support via phone and remote access for electronic locks, relays, and fittings; diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues; analyzing system interactions between IT components and locking technology; supporting integration into existing building management and IT infrastructures; administering and updating access control software; advising end-users and administrators on system functionality; creating and maintaining technical documentation and support tickets; feeding recurring issues back to development teams; and collaborating closely with sales, product management, and engineering to incorporate customer feedback and support product testing.
  • You will join a diverse, innovative team of over 550 employees across 17 nationalities at SimonsVoss Technologies, a pioneer in digital locking technology and part of the global Allegion Group. The company fosters a culture of flat hierarchies, strong teamwork, continuous learning, and inclusivity, where technical excellence is paired with a passion for creating safer, smarter spaces through collaborative innovation.
  • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in IT-supported security systems, gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level access control software, develop advanced troubleshooting skills in hybrid IT/OT environments, and grow your ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users. You’ll also benefit from structured mentorship, career pathing, and access to industry-leading learning platforms, positioning you for long-term growth in technical support, product specialization, or systems engineering within a forward-thinking security technology leader.

🎯 Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as a Fachinformatiker:in or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Prior experience in technical support, customer service hotline, or helpdesk environments.
  • Proficiency with standard IT systems and documentation tools; MCSA certification is advantageous.
  • Fluency in both German and English for effective international communication.
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured, methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for customer interaction.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, with a collaborative team spirit.
  • Demonstrated interest in innovative security technology and its real-world applications.

🏖️ Benefits

  • Comprehensive growth and development support, including structured onboarding, hands-on training at the in-house training center, access to Busuu, Allegion Academy, and LinkedIn Learning, plus mentorship for career and skill advancement.
  • Excellent work-life balance through flexible working hours with time-off compensation, remote work options (up to 4 days per week), and 30 days of vacation annually without probationary restrictions.
  • Vibrant, inclusive company culture featuring flat hierarchies, a multicultural team from 17 nations, strong mutual support, and regular team events that foster engagement and belonging.
  • Health and wellness perks, including a €30 monthly gross fitness subsidy, employee assistance program for personal and professional challenges, free beverages, and fresh fruit provided at the workplace.
  • Family and long-term security benefits, such as up to €250 monthly gross childcare subsidy, subsidized occupational pension plans (€40 plus 20% of the conversion amount), and exclusive employee discounts.
  • Sustainable mobility support via cost-effective leasing options for job bikes and e-bikes to promote eco-friendly commuting.
