- • The Fataluku Interpreter role at LanguageLine Solutions provides essential language access services, enabling limited-English speakers and the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing to communicate effectively across critical sectors such as healthcare, emergency services, government, and business.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include responding promptly to interpreting sessions, facilitating accurate and culturally sensitive communication between Fataluku and English speakers, maintaining professionalism during high-stress or emotional calls (including 911 and medical emergencies), and adhering to strict interpretation protocols without omissions or additions.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in both Fataluku and English, including strong listening, retention, and note-taking abilities to ensure accurate interpretation.
- • Ability to remain calm, neutral, and professional during emotionally charged or high-stress situations, such as emergency calls or discussions involving sensitive topics like end-of-life care or medical procedures.
- • Access to a dedicated personal device (Windows, MacOS, ChromeOS laptop/desktop, iPadOS/Android tablet, or iOS/Android smartphone) and a reliable high-speed internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload, <300 ms ping, <30 ms jitter).
- • Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
- • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience or education in teaching, translation, interpretation, or language assessment is preferred.
- • Ability to read and write in Fataluku and English is highly preferred.
