Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Neo4j—the undisputed leader in graph database analytics—as a Federal Solutions Engineer and become the technical linchpin that helps U.S. federal agencies turn complex data into mission-critical insights. You will sit at the intersection of cutting-edge graph technology and the unique challenges of the public sector, translating high-level strategic objectives into scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
- • Own the full technical sales cycle for federal prospects and existing customers. From the first discovery call to final architecture sign-off, you will map agency pain points to Neo4j’s capabilities, design proof-of-concept deployments, and deliver hands-on demonstrations that showcase how graph analytics can uncover hidden relationships in intelligence, fraud-detection, supply-chain, cybersecurity, and citizen-service data.
- • Architect and present tailored graph solutions that satisfy FedRAMP High, FISMA, and NIST 800-53 controls. You will collaborate with Neo4j’s security, compliance, and cloud-ops teams to ensure every proposed deployment meets stringent federal standards while still delivering sub-second query performance at billion-node scale.
- • Build and maintain repeatable reference architectures, deployment blueprints, and code samples that accelerate time-to-value for defense, civilian, and intelligence community clients. Your artifacts will be used by field teams across the country and will directly influence the product roadmap by highlighting gaps and opportunities unique to the federal market.
- • Serve as the primary technical advisor during capture planning and RFI/RFP responses. You will translate dense government requirements into crisp, compliant technical volumes, partner with channel allies and system integrators, and brief senior agency stakeholders on why graph outperforms relational and document stores for interconnected data problems.
- • Deliver immersive enablement sessions—both virtual and on-site at agency facilities—to developers, data scientists, and mission analysts. You will create hands-on labs, Jupyter notebooks, and graph-gist walkthroughs that move users from zero knowledge to building their first production-grade graph application in days, not months.
- • Continuously monitor the federal technology landscape (CDM, Zero Trust, AI/ML initiatives, open-source mandates) and feed insights back to product management, marketing, and executive leadership. Your voice will shape the next wave of Neo4j features purpose-built for classified and unclassified environments.
- • Champion cross-agency collaboration by organizing graph-days, hackathons, and communities of practice. You will cultivate a network of federal graph champions who evangelize success stories, driving organic expansion within and across departments.
- • Measure and communicate impact through clear success metrics—POC-to-production conversion rates, query-latency improvements, and mission-outcome KPIs—ensuring every engagement delivers measurable value to taxpayers and warfighters alike.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active U.S. Security Clearance (Secret or higher) or the ability to obtain one within 6 months
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience with data platforms, analytics, or distributed systems in a federal environment (DoD, DHS, IC, or civilian agency)
- • Demonstrated expertise in at least one graph query language (Cypher preferred) and practical knowledge of modeling highly connected datasets
- • Strong understanding of federal compliance frameworks: FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD CC SRG
- • Exceptional communication skills—able to translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive narratives for both engineers and senior executives
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP) a plus
🏖️ Benefits
- • 100 % remote-first culture with flexible working hours and quarterly in-person off-sites in inspiring locations
- • Competitive federal-market salary plus uncapped commission and equity in a high-growth, pre-IPO company
- • Annual professional-development stipend of $5,000 for training, conferences, and security-cleared certifications
- • Platinum-level health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents—fully paid by Neo4j
- • 20 days PTO, 11 federal holidays, and a company-wide winter shutdown to recharge and spend time with family
