- • We are looking for a Field Applications Engineer with a strong embedded systems background who can operate comfortably across customer-facing technical sales, technical communications, and hands-on engineering support.
- • This role is ideal for someone who can bridge engineering depth with clear customer communication and help articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • The ideal candidate will support pre-sales technical engagements with customers and partners, answer technical customer questions during evaluations, procurement, and integration discussions, and translate customer requirements into clear technical recommendations and solutions.
- • The Field Applications Engineer will develop technical materials and written responses for proposals, grant applications, customer documentation, and partner communications, work closely with engineering and product teams to accurately communicate product capabilities and limitations, and assist with hardware setup, integration, and field support when needed.
- • The role also involves representing the company in customer meetings, industry events, and technical discussions.
🎯 Requirements
- • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- • 3+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or FAE role
- • Strong embedded systems background, including firmware/hardware integration
- • Comfortable working with PCB hardware, embedded devices, and drone systems
- • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and concisely
- • Confident, extroverted, and comfortable interacting directly with customers and partners
- • Strong technical writing skills, including the ability to contribute to proposals, grant applications, and customer-facing technical documentation
- • Practical, hands-on mindset; effective in both lab and field environments
