  • • This role presents a truly exceptional, 'Zero to One' opportunity to architect and define an entirely new category of cloud infrastructure from its inception. As the Field CTO for Physical AI & Robotics, you will assume ownership of the technical product strategy for one of the most critically important and rapidly evolving domains in technology: robotics, autonomous systems, simulation/world models, and embodied intelligence. This is a unique chance to shape the future of how physical systems interact with and are powered by AI.
  • • Operating at the critical nexus of deep customer engagement and sophisticated platform engineering, you will serve as the senior technical representative and advocate for Lavendo Inc. within the Physical AI customer and partner ecosystem. Simultaneously, you will play a pivotal role in shaping internal roadmap decisions, ensuring that our development efforts are closely aligned with market demands and future opportunities. You will engage directly with Chief Technology Officers (CTOs) of our client organizations to successfully close complex, high-impact deals. Your responsibility will extend to architecting scalable, robust solutions that not only address the immediate needs of individual customers but also establish foundational patterns and capabilities for an entire market segment.
  • • As an Executive Technical Leader, you will embody the external 'CTO' persona for Physical AI customers, partners, and broader ecosystem stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to cultivate deep trust and credibility with your executive peers in these organizations, establishing Lavendo Inc. as a trusted advisor and technological partner.
  • • You will provide critical Lighthouse Deal Support, collaborating closely with Sales leadership to secure strategic engagements. This involves leading in-depth architectural workshops, deeply understanding customer objectives, and meticulously aligning technical roadmaps with their long-term business goals.
  • • Your role in Technical Product Strategy will be crucial. You will translate bespoke customer needs and emerging market trends into clear, actionable, and scalable requirements for our Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams, ensuring our platform evolves in lockstep with industry advancements.
  • • You will act as a significant force multiplier for the sales organization through Field Enablement. This entails developing compelling technical narratives, designing robust reference architectures, and creating comprehensive training materials to enhance the capabilities of our Field Sales Engineers (SAs) and Sellers.
  • • Driving Cross-Functional Alignment is paramount. You will foster seamless collaboration across Product, Engineering, Infrastructure, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, ensuring that our internal roadmap accurately reflects and prioritizes real-world market needs and customer feedback.
  • • You will provide expert Architectural Guidance to customers, helping them maximize the value derived from our platform services. Concurrently, you will identify the core 'primitives' and foundational components necessary to support end-to-end robotics workflows, paving the way for more sophisticated applications.
  • • Through keen Pattern Recognition, you will identify recurring customer pain points across robotics, simulation, and data pipeline challenges. This insight will be instrumental in surfacing critical product gaps and influencing the strategic direction of our roadmap.
  • • In the realm of Ecosystem & M&A, you will actively partner with leading simulation platforms and robotics framework vendors. Your efforts will focus on identifying strategic integration opportunities and evaluating potential Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) targets that align with our long-term vision.
  • • Establishing and maintaining structured Feedback Loops is essential. You will ensure that customer learnings and market insights are systematically tracked, analyzed, and acted upon by our Research & Development (R&D) teams, creating a continuous improvement cycle.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or distributed systems.
  • • 5+ years of experience in AI, HPC, and/or robotics, with demonstrated exposure to production or large-scale systems.
  • • Prior experience in a senior technical leadership role, such as Field CTO, Head of Engineering, Principal Architect, or Distinguished Engineer.
  • • Dual-competency: equally adept at designing distributed system architectures for engineers and articulating business value to C-suite executives.
  • • Go-To-Market (GTM) fluency: proven experience partnering with Sales to close large enterprise deals and enabling field teams with effective technical assets.
  • • Product-minded leadership: demonstrated experience in defining platform or product strategy based on market feedback, rather than solely executing technical tasks.
  • • Strong hands-on understanding of GPU-centric infrastructure, high-performance compute, storage, and networking.
  • • Robotics fluency: familiarity with Physical AI workflows, including simulation, synthetic data generation, training pipelines, and real-world deployment.
  • • Executive presence and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence product teams and leadership through clarity and credibility.
  • • Comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, ideally within hyperscalers, cloud platforms, or advanced AI startups.
