- • Serve as a remote Field Sales Engineer supporting the Tools and Outdoor team with up to 60% travel required across the Midwest region.
- • Develop deep technical expertise in DEWALT fastening products, including their design, application in construction, and compliance with current building codes.
- • Build and maintain relationships with key specifying engineering firms, architects, and designers within the assigned territory.
- • Conduct regular technical presentations and training seminars for design professionals on DEWALT product performance, characteristics, applications, and code requirements.
- • Collaborate with local sales teams to drive specification and conversion of fastening products through technical support and job-site visits.
- • Provide on-site technical assistance to contractors and design professionals during project execution.
- • Utilize proprietary technical anchor design software to support client needs and relay customer feedback to product development teams.
- • Ensure contractor-generated submittals are reviewed, approved, and compliant with architect and engineer specifications.
- • Stay current on emerging construction technologies including Building Information Modeling (BIM), Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and construction software platforms.
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in the company’s CRM system to track engagement, opportunities, and technical support activities.
- • Act as a technical liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering resources to ensure product alignment with market needs.
- • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and design conferences to promote DEWALT fastening solutions.
- • Support the sales process by translating complex technical specifications into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- • Adhere to company policies and safety standards during all field activities and client interactions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent qualifications
- • Minimum 2 years’ experience in design engineering, technical support, or technical sales role
- • E.I.T / FE certified; Professional Engineering (P.E.) license preferred
- • Construction Industry / Jobsite experience preferred
- • A valid driver’s license
