  • • Implement Astronomer’s software and services within the core infrastructure of some of the world’s largest enterprises and organizations.
  • • Guide large and complex customers through their Apache Airflow adoption journeys, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance.
  • • Serve as the primary technical interface between customers, sales teams, and product teams to ensure Astronomer’s platform effectively resolves customer pain points and delivers measurable business value.
  • • Deliver hands-on technical solutions in production environments, frequently working via terminal and CLI without GUI access.
  • • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot distributed systems built on Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, AKS, or OpenShift preferred) in cloud-native environments.
  • • Design and support cloud-native data architectures that integrate Astronomer’s unified DataOps platform with customer data ecosystems.
  • • Work directly with customer infrastructure to set up, scale, and optimize SaaS platforms operating at enterprise scale.
  • • Interpret and debug code to diagnose issues and recommend improvements in data pipelines and orchestration workflows.
  • • Utilize git for version control, collaboration, and deployment automation in customer environments.
  • • Collaborate with customers to understand their data workflows and translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
  • • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through oral and written channels.
  • • Troubleshoot network complexities and infrastructure challenges in multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
  • • Support the onboarding and integration of Astronomer’s platform with existing enterprise tooling and data pipelines.
  • • Participate in high-priority customer engagements, often as part of a rapid-response SWAT team to resolve critical technical issues.
  • • Leverage cloud provider APIs and tooling (AWS, GCP, Azure) to provision, manage, and monitor infrastructure supporting Astronomer’s platform.
  • • Document technical configurations, customer solutions, and best practices for internal knowledge sharing and customer enablement.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred)
  • • Expertise in at least one programming language
  • • Good understanding of network complexities and architectures
  • • Versatile Terminal and CLI user, with hands-on experience in environments without GUI access
  • • Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems
  • • Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling
