  • • As a Field Sales Executive based in Budapest, you will be the driving force behind our growth in this vibrant culinary hub. Your primary role will be to engage directly with chefs and restaurant owners, introducing them to the Saltz marketplace and demonstrating how our platform can significantly simplify and enhance their procurement processes. This is a hands-on, field-based position where you will be the face of Saltz, building crucial relationships within the gastronomic community.
  • • Your typical week will involve a dynamic schedule of approximately 10-15 in-person meetings with potential clients. You will be responsible for nurturing these leads from initial contact through to successful onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every chef and owner you interact with. This requires proactive follow-up and a commitment to providing exceptional service, ensuring no potential partner is left without the support they need.
  • • You will have the autonomy to plan your weekly schedule, balancing client visits, follow-ups, and administrative tasks. While you will be empowered to manage your own workflow, you will also receive guidance and support from our experienced team to help you achieve and exceed your sales targets. Your success will be measured by your ability to consistently meet and surpass key performance indicators, contributing directly to Saltz's expansion.
  • • A core part of your role will be conducting engaging product demonstrations of the Saltz application. You will showcase, in the client's own environment, how our intuitive platform simplifies ordering, ensures reliability, and provides access to a wider range of quality ingredients than ever before. This requires a clear understanding of the application's features and benefits, and the ability to tailor your presentation to the specific needs of each restaurant.
  • • To ensure effective collaboration and track your progress, you will diligently utilize our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and other essential sales tools. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of your interactions, client information, and sales pipeline is crucial for the entire team to provide you with the best possible support and to inform our strategic decisions. Comprehensive training will be provided on all necessary tools and systems.
  • • This role is ideal for individuals who possess a deep understanding of the fast-paced and demanding world of gastronomy. Whether you have prior experience running a kitchen, managing a busy bar, or excelling in a high-touch hospitality role like a concierge, your insights into the industry will be invaluable. We are also highly enthusiastic about welcoming career changers who can bring transferable skills and a fresh perspective to our team. Previous sales internships or customer-facing roles, even part-time, are considered a significant advantage.

  • • Exceptional communication skills are paramount. You will need very good oral and written proficiency in both Hungarian and English to effectively communicate with a diverse range of clients and internal stakeholders. You should be comfortable taking the lead in conversations, demonstrating excellent active listening skills, identifying client needs and pain points, proposing effective solutions, and confidently guiding the conversation towards a successful deal closure.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience in a customer-facing role within the gastronomy or hospitality industry (e.g., chef, kitchen manager, bar manager, concierge), or a strong aptitude for sales and relationship building.
  • • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Hungarian and English.
  • • Comfortable working independently in the field, managing your own schedule, and conducting in-person client meetings.
  • • Ability to understand client needs, present solutions effectively, and close sales.
  • • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • • Bonus: Fluency in additional languages beyond Hungarian and English.
