đź“‹ Description

  • • Join Holman Enterprises, a distinguished, family-owned global automotive services organization with a century-long legacy of "Driving What’s Right." We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to become an integral part of our dynamic upfitting division, serving the vibrant state of Minnesota.
  • • This is a unique opportunity to leverage your mechanical expertise in a remote, field-based role, covering an assigned geographical service area within Southern Minnesota, outside of the Minneapolis metropolitan area. You will be provided with a company vehicle to efficiently manage your service routes and customer interactions.
  • • As a Field Service Technician, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert on-site service and repair for specialized truck-mounted equipment. This equipment is critical for railroad service vehicles and includes a diverse range of components such as cranes, hydraulic systems, rail conversion equipment, winches, and various aftermarket electrical components.
  • • Your day-to-day will involve diagnosing complex mechanical and electrical issues, performing precise repairs, and implementing necessary modifications to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, often requiring you to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • • A key aspect of this position is effective customer communication. You will engage with clients to thoroughly understand their equipment issues, clearly explain diagnostic findings, and discuss proposed solutions. Building and maintaining positive customer relationships is paramount to delivering the "Holman Experience."
  • • You will be responsible for accurately estimating the time and materials required for each repair job, ensuring efficient resource allocation and transparent communication with customers regarding project scope and costs.
  • • This role offers a fantastic work-life balance with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, meaning no weekend work is required. This allows for predictable planning and dedicated personal time.
  • • The compensation for this role is competitive, starting at $25 - $30 per hour, with the exact rate determined by your experience and qualifications. Furthermore, you become eligible for our comprehensive benefits package within just 30 days of employment, underscoring our commitment to employee well-being.
  • • Holman is committed to continuous improvement. You will be encouraged to identify and communicate suggestions and potential errors related to the trucks and equipment, contributing to the ongoing enhancement of our fleet and service offerings.
  • • This position requires a strong understanding of automotive troubleshooting principles. You will be expected to apply your knowledge to diagnose and resolve a wide array of technical challenges encountered in the field.
  • • While not strictly required, preferred candidates will possess knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and/or pneumatics, as these are integral components of the equipment you will be servicing. Experience with welding and operating a cutting torch is also highly preferred, as these skills are often necessary for repairs and modifications.
  • • You must be able to read and interpret service manuals and technical documentation to effectively guide your repair and maintenance activities.
  • • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role, reflecting Holman's core values and commitment to excellence.
  • • To ensure you can effectively perform your duties, you must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Additionally, you will need to successfully pass a background check, a drug test, and a DOT physical examination.
  • • By joining Holman, you become part of a company that prioritizes its people, offering rewarding careers and fostering an environment where employees and their families can thrive. We are dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that all team members feel trusted and supported.
  • • This role is ideal for an independent, self-motivated technician who enjoys problem-solving, working with diverse equipment, and values a stable, supportive work environment with excellent benefits and a clear path for career growth within a reputable organization.
