- • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computer hardware and system components in accordance with manufacturer specifications at client locations.
- • Replace defective hardware parts and perform installations and upgrades of computer systems and related equipment.
- • Collect and communicate technical data to support teams to facilitate escalations, project planning, and service improvements.
- • Adhere to established service procedures, documentation standards, and daily administrative workflows to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- • Deliver on-site technical support with a focus on maintaining positive client relationships and professional service standards.
- • Travel locally and occasionally over long distances, including potential air travel, to service client sites across the designated region.
- • Work in tight or confined spaces such as under desks, kiosks, or counters to access and repair equipment.
- • Climb ladders up to 12 feet to install or service hardware mounted at height.
- • Bend, lift, and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted during service calls.
- • Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed to meet client service level agreements.
- • Maintain accurate records of service activities, parts used, and time spent on each job through company-mandated systems.
- • Operate personal vehicle for daily travel to client sites with mileage reimbursed by the company.
- • Follow all safety protocols and company policies while performing physical tasks in diverse client environments.
- • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to continuous improvement of field service processes.
- • Represent TD SYNNEX and Shyft Global Services professionally in all client interactions, ensuring high standards of customer service.
🎯 Requirements
- • 1–2 years of experience in IT support, field services, or hardware repair
- • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
- • Access to a reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
- • Ability to diagnose, repair, test, and replace hardware components confidently
- • Currently reside within a 1-hour commute to Brooklyn, Zip Code 11237
- • Comfort with physical demands including lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
