- • Aspora is revolutionizing global banking by building a borderless financial operating system designed for the modern, mobile user. Since our inception in 2022, we have been driven by a mission to make money as fluid and transparent as the people who use it. Our rapid growth and innovative approach have attracted significant backing from prominent venture capitalists, including Sequoia Capital, Greylock Partners, Hummingbird Ventures, Y Combinator, and Global Founders Capital. We are a dynamic and expanding team of over 75 professionals spread across India, the UK, the UAE, the EU, and the US. Our culture is built on the pillars of extreme ownership, radical candour, and an unwavering obsession with customer impact. We foster an environment where builders are encouraged to challenge conventional assumptions, iterate quickly, and transform complex regulatory landscapes into elegant, user-friendly solutions. If you are passionate about redefining the future of global banking and thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking setting, Aspora is the place for you to build that future.
- • We are actively seeking a dedicated FinOps Specialist to join our growing Finance & Operations team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in supporting our day-to-day financial operations, with a significant emphasis on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) – though the description focuses more on AP and related functions, Reconciliation, Payroll, and Taxation. This is a hands-on position, perfectly suited for an individual at the early stages of their finance career who possesses a keen eye for structure, a commitment to precision, and a strong desire to learn the intricate rhythm of financial operations within a fast-paced startup environment. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to ensure the seamless execution of payment cycles, the maintenance of accurate accounting records, and the timely fulfillment of all statutory compliance requirements.
- • In this critical role, you will be entrusted with a variety of key responsibilities that directly impact our financial health and operational efficiency. Your ownership will extend to performing daily and monthly reconciliations across our diverse financial touchpoints, including bank accounts, digital wallets, and our core accounting ledgers. You will proactively track outstanding payables, collaborating effectively with various internal teams to ensure their timely resolution and closure. A significant part of your contribution will involve supporting the end-to-end vendor payment processing lifecycle. This includes meticulously validating invoices, ensuring they meet all necessary approval routing protocols, and overseeing the final disbursement of payments.
- • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the monthly payroll processing. This involves ensuring the utmost accuracy in salary data, meticulously calculating deductions, and managing statutory contributions such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). You will also be instrumental in preparing and maintaining essential taxation-related records, including the accurate entry, filing, and reconciliation of TDS and Goods and Services Tax (GST) data. Maintaining precise accounting records and ensuring comprehensive documentation within our chosen financial tools, such as Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks, will be a core part of your daily activities. Your support will be vital during month-end closing procedures, external audits, and various compliance checks, ensuring all financial data is accurate and readily available.
- • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your success. You will work closely with our Human Resources department, business operations teams, and external vendors to swiftly identify and resolve any discrepancies or data mismatches that may arise. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to small but impactful process improvement initiatives. Your insights and efforts will help enhance the overall accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of our financial workflows, making a tangible difference in how Aspora manages its finances as we continue to scale.
- • This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain deep, practical experience in a high-growth fintech environment. You will be at the forefront of financial operations, learning invaluable skills and contributing directly to the success of a company that is redefining global banking. At Aspora, finance is not merely a support function; it is recognized as the vital heartbeat that enables us to build, scale, and achieve sustainable growth.
