Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Step into the beating heart of GoTo’s finance engine in Brazil and launch your career through our Finance Apprenticeship, a 12-month, full-time program designed to turn curious minds into future-ready finance professionals. You will be embedded in a high-performing, multicultural team that closes the books for one of the world’s largest cloud-communications companies, giving you front-row access to how global SaaS finance really works.
- • Own the end-to-end invoice lifecycle: receive, validate, and code incoming supplier invoices in SAP and NetSuite; match purchase orders, receipts, and contracts; chase missing documentation with procurement and vendors; and ensure every real is accounted for before month-end close. Accuracy here directly protects cash flow and vendor relationships across LATAM.
- • Generate customer invoices and credit notes in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, ensuring tax rules (ICMS, ISS, PIS/COFINS, and withholding) are applied correctly. You will learn to interpret complex service contracts and usage data, turning them into crystal-clear bills that keep millions in receivables flowing on time.
- • Become the guardian of our paperless future: scan, index, and archive every finance document in our DMS, while continuously improving naming conventions and folder structures so auditors and colleagues can find what they need in seconds, not hours.
- • Reconcile key balance-sheet accounts—banks, credit cards, intercompany, and accruals—every month. You will flag variances, investigate root causes, and propose journal entries that keep our books audit-ready and leadership confident in the numbers.
- • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close by preparing flux analyses, roll-forwards, and ad-hoc schedules for FP&A, tax, and external auditors. Your spreadsheets will be the bridge between raw data and the strategic insights that steer GoTo’s next investment.
- • Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and Customer Success teams across São Paulo, Bangalore, and Boston to resolve blockers and streamline processes. You will run daily stand-ups, document SOPs, and pilot automation ideas that cut cycle time and free the team for higher-value work.
- • Dive into Power BI, Alteryx, and Excel to build dashboards that visualize DSO, DPO, and cash-conversion metrics for LATAM leadership. Your visual stories will influence payment terms, collection priorities, and even product-pricing decisions.
- • Champion our “Stronger Together” culture by leading finance onboarding sessions for new interns, translating technical terms into Portuguese for junior colleagues, and co-hosting lunch-and-learns on topics like e-invoicing compliance and AI in finance.
- • Rotate through short stints in Treasury, Tax, and FP&A to see how your day-to-day entries roll up into cash forecasts, transfer-pricing policies, and board-level KPIs. Each rotation ends with a capstone presentation to the Brazil CFO and a certification badge you can share on LinkedIn.
- • Contribute to ESG reporting by tracking carbon-related spend and diversity supplier invoices, ensuring GoTo’s sustainability commitments are backed by hard numbers. Your work will be showcased in our annual Impact Report read by investors and customers alike.
- • Graduate from the program with a recognized Apprenticeship Certificate, a global network of mentors, and at least one process-improvement project implemented in production—tangible proof that you can turn curiosity into measurable business value.
