- • Serve as the primary strategic finance partner to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO) for Go-To-Market (GTM) planning, forecasting, reporting, and key decision-making.
- • Build trusted relationships with GTM leadership to proactively surface financial insights, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic direction.
- • Develop and refine scalable financial reporting and analytical frameworks, including LTV/CAC, payback period, and other key metrics, to increase transparency and accelerate decision velocity.
- • Partner deeply with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience (CX) teams to understand their strategies, ensure adequate resourcing, and support informed tradeoffs in spend allocation to maximize ROI.
- • Collaborate with the CX team to evaluate staffing strategies and ensure scalable, financially efficient expansion of customer support operations.
- • Prepare high-quality financial and operational narratives for executive and Board-level reviews, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, provide clear explanations for variances, and translate results into operational recommendations for functional leaders.
- • Drive process improvements through AI and automation to enhance planning discipline, forecasting accuracy, and cross-functional alignment across GTM functions.
- • Maintain rigorous attention to detail and uphold high standards of work quality, consistently seeking truth and accuracy in financial analysis.
- • Operate with low ego and a growth mindset, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and deliver outcomes that serve Notion’s broader mission.
- • Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code, Gemini, or Codex to streamline workflows, improve analytical efficiency, and deliver higher-quality outputs—no expert-level proficiency required, but curiosity and adoption are expected.
- • Support GTM orgs in balancing autonomy with financial accountability, ensuring resources are allocated to the highest-impact initiatives while maintaining fiscal discipline.
- • Translate operational drivers into financial outcomes and vice versa, connecting day-to-day execution to long-term strategic goals.
- • Contribute to the evolution of financial systems and processes to scale with Notion’s growth, ensuring frameworks remain robust, adaptable, and aligned with business needs.
- • Act as a bridge between Finance and GTM teams, advocating for operational needs while upholding financial integrity and accountability.
- • Engage in continuous improvement of financial models and reporting tools to reduce manual effort and increase reliability of insights.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with financial and operational data, using advanced Excel/Google Sheets to build, validate, and present complex analyses.
- • Communicate with executive presence, delivering concise, structured, and persuasive narratives that drive alignment and action across leadership.
- • Support headcount planning and budgeting for GTM teams, ensuring alignment between talent strategy and financial capacity.
- • Contribute to a culture of curiosity and experimentation, embracing AI as a collaborator to enhance productivity and decision-making.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, investment banking, accounting, or private equity, with direct FP&A/Strategic Finance experience required
- • Demonstrated experience supporting Go-To-Market (GTM) or Sales & Marketing (S&M) functions
- • Exceptional analytical skills with financial and operational data, including advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- • Strong financial modeling capabilities with comfort handling ambiguity and linking financial outcomes to operational drivers
- • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with ability to influence leaders through clear, structured storytelling
- • High attention to detail, integrity in data, and commitment to truth-seeking in analysis

- • Competitive cash compensation with estimated base salary range of $185,000–$215,000 per year for roles based in San Francisco
