📋 Description

  • • Lindus Health is at the forefront of revolutionizing clinical trials, aiming to accelerate the delivery of life-saving treatments to patients by modernizing the infrastructure that underpins this critical process. We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Director to spearhead our finance function and guide us through our next significant growth phase. This pivotal role demands a unique blend of robust controllership, deep technical accounting expertise, sophisticated financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and sharp commercial acumen. You will be instrumental in ensuring our financial operations are not only compliant and audit-ready but also provide the strategic insights necessary to drive informed business decisions. This is a hands-on position where you will be deeply involved in the day-to-day financial operations while also shaping the long-term financial strategy of the company.
  • • As the Finance Director, you will oversee and lead the Finance Operations team, ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of monthly management accounts. You will manage the entire annual audit process from start to finish, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring all documentation and requirements are met. Beyond these core responsibilities, you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and contribute directly to building financial models, refining existing processes, and enhancing the scalability of our financial systems. A significant part of your role will involve partnering closely with various business functions, providing them with the financial support and insights they need to achieve their objectives. Furthermore, you will lead, mentor, and develop the existing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth. As a key strategic advisor to the executive team, you will provide critical financial guidance that supports the company's ambitious growth trajectory and ensures robust financial health.
  • • Key responsibilities will encompass leadership and team development, where you will guide the finance function, manage a team of two, and strategically hire additional talent as the company expands. You will be responsible for providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to your team members, focusing on enhancing their technical accounting skills, improving the quality of financial closes, and strengthening their business partnering capabilities. A crucial aspect of this role is to act as a strategic partner to the executive team, offering expert advice on best practices, particularly concerning revenue recognition and accrual strategies. This guidance will be vital for maintaining adequate financial runway and optimizing cash flow. You will also develop and implement a clear roadmap for scaling the finance function to meet the demands of a rapidly growing organization.
  • • In terms of financial control, reporting, and audit, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements, including income statements, cost control reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. This includes maintaining high standards for accuracy, meeting deadlines, performing reconciliations, and driving continuous process improvements. You will manage the annual audit and statutory reporting process end-to-end, overseeing auditor relationships, managing requests for information (PBC lists), preparing technical accounting papers, and ensuring timely delivery. A critical focus will be on implementing and strengthening internal controls, financial policies, and scalable processes that can adapt to the company's growth. You will ensure robust balance sheet management, maintain high standards for evidence documentation, and ensure all records are audit-ready.
  • • As the technical accounting owner for the business, you will be responsible for revenue recognition under IFRS 15, providing guidance on contract reviews, and developing relevant policy documentation. You will also provide expert judgment on complex accounting areas such as provisions, accruals, capitalisation, leases, and share-based payments. In the realm of planning, forecasting, and modelling, you will lead the annual budgeting process and the development of rolling forecasts, collaborating closely with functional leads to create realistic and accountable plans. You will build and maintain sophisticated driver-based financial models covering revenue, margin, headcount, cash runway, and scenario planning. A key output will be the production of clear, concise monthly performance narratives for leadership, highlighting variances, key drivers, risks, and recommended actions, with a particular emphasis on gross margin reporting and analysis.
