- • As a Finance Expert - Private Credit at xAI Corporation, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s mission to build AI systems that understand complex financial domains by providing expert-level annotations and insights drawn from real-world private credit transactions. Your deep knowledge of direct lending, unitranche facilities, mezzanine financing, and distressed debt investing will directly shape the training data used to refine xAI’s models, ensuring they capture nuanced market dynamics with precision and relevance.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include utilizing proprietary annotation software to label and validate private credit data across scenarios such as loan structuring, covenant negotiation, sponsor due diligence, collateral valuation, and portfolio monitoring; collaborating closely with engineering and data science teams to refine annotation workflows and improve tool usability; selecting and analyzing complex private credit cases that challenge model performance; interpreting evolving task instructions with autonomy and precision; and contributing feedback to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data collection processes for AI training.

🎯 Requirements
- • Professional experience in private credit or related fields such as credit analysis, underwriting, portfolio management, or investment roles at direct lending funds, BDCs, credit-focused private equity, or specialty finance firms.
- • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to exercise autonomous judgment when working with limited or ambiguous data.
- • Proficiency in reading and writing professional English, enabling clear and accurate knowledge sharing with technical and non-technical teammates.
