- • As a Finance Manager at a rapidly growing startup, you will be the linchpin of financial operations, driving strategic financial planning, robust reporting, and efficient operational finance. This role is designed for a proactive and analytical finance professional who is eager to act as a strategic partner to founders and leadership teams, providing the critical insights needed to navigate complex business landscapes and fuel sustainable growth. - • Your responsibilities will span the entire financial spectrum, from hands-on accounting oversight to high-level strategic forecasting. You will be tasked with developing sophisticated financial models that not only predict future performance but also explore various strategic scenarios, enabling the leadership to make informed choices about investments, pricing strategies, and expansion plans. This includes leading the annual budgeting process and conducting in-depth variance analyses to understand deviations from the plan, identifying root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
- • A significant part of your role will involve crafting comprehensive financial reports and executive dashboards. You will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as profit margins, burn rate, cash runway, and unit economics. These insights will be crucial for presenting financial performance to the executive team, board members, and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
- • Cash flow management and treasury functions are paramount. You will meticulously monitor and forecast the company's cash flow and liquidity, maintaining detailed short- and mid-term cash projections. Your expertise will be vital in optimizing working capital, prioritizing payments, and advising leadership on strategies for cash preservation and extending the company's financial runway. This proactive approach to cash management is essential for maintaining operational stability and supporting growth initiatives.
- • You will also oversee core accounting operations and ensure compliance. This includes supervising bookkeeping, managing the month-end close process, reviewing journal entries, and implementing robust financial controls. Maintaining adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ensuring audit readiness will be key responsibilities. You will also liaise with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure all financial activities are compliant and accurate.
- • Driving process optimization and effective systems management is another critical area. You will identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, making them more scalable, accurate, and efficient. This may involve managing and improving accounting and financial systems, automating workflows to reduce manual reporting efforts, and documenting financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency and best practices.
- • Furthermore, you will serve as a key operational finance business partner. This involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to manage costs effectively and support their planning efforts. You will analyze operational expenditures, identify drivers of efficiency, and contribute to vendor negotiations and contract reviews, ensuring that financial considerations are integrated into all business operations.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- • 1-3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) roles.
- • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- • Experience in preparing financial statements and management reports for internal stakeholders.
- • Solid understanding of US GAAP and fundamental business finance principles.
- • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet software (Excel or Google Sheets).
- • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively in a remote work environment.
