  • • ACCIONA, a global leader in regenerative infrastructure development, is seeking a dedicated Finance Project Administrator to join the South Fraser Station Partners (SFSP) joint venture for the significant Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project. This is a crucial role within a project that aims to revolutionize transit in Metro Vancouver by enhancing regional connectivity with fast, frequent, and reliable service. As part of a joint venture comprising ACCIONA, Aecon, and Pomerleau, you will contribute to a project that spans the design and construction of eight stations, a 250-metre guideway, three standalone Power Propulsion Substations, and three bus exchanges.
  • • In this on-site role, based in Surrey (King George), BC, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a pivotal part in the financial operations of this large-scale infrastructure endeavor. Your primary responsibility will be the meticulous setup of all vendor accounts, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for our partners and suppliers. This involves close collaboration with the vendor finance team to gather all necessary documentation and adhere to the stringent setup processes mandated by the Corporate Data Master team.
  • • You will be instrumental in problem-solving any issues that arise during the vendor setup phase, requiring a proactive and analytical approach to ensure timely resolution. Furthermore, you will provide essential support to the Accounts Payable team by uploading approved invoice packages to the AP SharePoint for prompt payment processing. This requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in handling financial documentation.
  • • Maintaining organized and up-to-date electronic documentation and filing systems will be a core part of your daily duties. This organizational rigor is vital for audit readiness and efficient project management. You will also be responsible for writing and updating work procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement within the finance processes, and recommending these enhancements to the Financial Controller. Your insights will directly contribute to optimizing our financial operations.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries from vendors, the corporate team, and internal project teams. Responding to these queries in a timely, professional, and helpful manner is paramount to maintaining strong relationships and ensuring smooth project execution. Your communication skills will be tested and honed as you navigate these interactions.
  • • ACCIONA is committed to fostering an inclusive culture that promotes equity, welcomes diverse perspectives, and enables career progression. We believe in building a sense of belonging for all employees. As a Finance Project Administrator, you will embody these values by working collaboratively and respectfully with all stakeholders.
  • • This role demands a proactive individual who can adapt to a busy work schedule, especially when deadlines loom. Your ability to follow strict work procedures and instructions, coupled with a strong work ethic, will be essential. You will be expected to demonstrate a results-driven attitude, seeing tasks through to completion and effectively resolving any outstanding issues.
  • • Your contribution will extend beyond administrative tasks; you will be a key enabler of project success by ensuring the financial infrastructure is robust and efficient. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience in project finance within the construction industry, working on a landmark infrastructure project that will shape the future of transportation in the region. You will be part of a team dedicated to delivering excellence and making a tangible positive impact on society and the environment.
  • • The Surrey Langley SkyTrain Project is more than just an infrastructure development; it's a commitment to sustainable development and creating a better planet. By joining ACCIONA, you are aligning yourself with a company that is at the forefront of addressing global challenges like climate change and water scarcity. Your work as a Finance Project Administrator will directly support these ambitious goals, ensuring that the financial backbone of this critical project is as strong and reliable as the infrastructure it supports.
  • • This role requires a high degree of accuracy, discretion, and professionalism. You will be entrusted with sensitive financial information and will be expected to handle it with the utmost care. The ability to work independently, manage your workload effectively, and prioritize tasks will be crucial for success in this dynamic environment. Your contributions will be recognized and valued as you become an integral part of the ACCIONA team and the broader SFSP joint venture.
