📋 Description
- • Hopper is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Finance & Strategy Manager to join its innovative team, operating 100% remotely within the USA. This pivotal role is designed for an individual who thrives at the intersection of finance, strategy, and cutting-edge technology, particularly leveraging AI to drive business outcomes. As a "Finance Engineer," you will be instrumental in building and refining the systems that power Hopper's diverse business verticals, including B2C, Media, and Sales. Your primary mission will be to empower leaders with data-driven insights derived from deep financial acumen and AI-accelerated technical execution, enabling them to make high-stakes strategic decisions.
- • This position moves beyond traditional financial reporting. We are actively transitioning away from manual, static modeling processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive builder who views Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude as integral team members. You will utilize these AI tools to automate complex workflows, architect sophisticated SQL queries, and develop robust, long-term Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) tooling. Whether you are collaborating with an AI to enhance a critical business tool or presenting a crucial budget update to senior leadership, you will be in your element, driving tangible impact.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass several key areas. Firstly, **Business Partnering**: You will serve as a dedicated "Finance Engineer" for business leaders across various departments. This involves translating intricate operational drivers into automated, actionable reporting metrics. By providing clear, concise, and timely insights, you will enable leaders to make more informed and strategic decisions that align with company objectives.
- • Secondly, **Predictive Strategic Planning Focus**: A significant aspect of this role involves architecting long-range forecasting models and engines that transcend the limitations of static spreadsheets. You will harness the power of AI to simulate complex "what-if" scenarios, equipping the business to navigate short-term market volatility effectively. Furthermore, you will contribute to building a resilient, code-based roadmap for the next 3–5 years, ensuring sustainable growth and strategic foresight.
- • Thirdly, **Technical Infrastructure & Automation**: You will be responsible for building and maintaining the critical code-based systems that form the backbone of our finance engine. This includes leveraging AI tools like Claude to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL and BigQuery workflows. The goal is to automate real-time dashboards and weekly performance briefings, ensuring that our financial reporting is not only accurate but also highly scalable and efficient. This automation is key to maintaining a competitive edge in a fast-paced industry.
- • Fourthly, **Go-To-Market (GTM) & Sales Architecture**: You will collaborate closely with the Sales and Media teams to engineer high-leverage Go-To-Market strategies. This involves designing automated frameworks to meticulously track key performance indicators such as sales velocity, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and pipeline health. By employing AI, you will model intricate incentive structures and conduct ROI simulations, ensuring that sales behaviors are optimally aligned with our long-term financial goals and strategic vision.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to blend financial expertise with technical innovation, driving significant impact within a rapidly growing, globally recognized travel technology company. You will be at the forefront of transforming financial operations through intelligent automation and strategic foresight.
