• • As a pivotal member of the Finance and Strategy team at Hopper Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping the financial architecture and strategic direction of our rapidly growing company. This role transcends traditional financial analysis, positioning you as a "Finance Engineer" who merges deep financial acumen with cutting-edge AI technology to build and optimize the very systems that drive our business. You will be a key partner to business leaders across our B2C, Media, and Sales verticals, translating complex operational data into actionable insights and automated reporting metrics that empower high-stakes decision-making.
• • Your primary mission will be to move beyond manual, static financial modeling. We are seeking a proactive builder who views AI, including Large Language Models (LLMs) like Claude, as integral teammates. You will leverage these tools to automate intricate workflows, architect sophisticated SQL queries, and develop robust, long-term financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tooling. Whether you are collaborating with an AI to refine a financial model or presenting critical budget updates to senior leadership, you will thrive in an environment that values both technical execution and strategic foresight.
• • A significant aspect of your role will involve predictive strategic planning. You will architect long-range forecasting models and engines designed to surpass the limitations of traditional spreadsheets. By employing AI for advanced "what-if" scenario simulations, you will equip the business to navigate short-term market volatility effectively while simultaneously constructing a resilient, code-based roadmap for the next 3–5 years. This forward-looking approach ensures that Hopper remains agile and prepared for future challenges and opportunities.
• • You will be responsible for building and maintaining the critical code-based systems that form the backbone of our finance engine. This includes leveraging AI tools to write, debug, and optimize complex SQL and BigQuery workflows. The goal is to automate real-time dashboards and weekly performance briefings, ensuring our financial reporting is not only accurate but also highly scalable and efficient. This technical infrastructure will be crucial for providing timely and reliable financial intelligence across the organization.
• • A key focus area will be the Go-To-Market (GTM) and Sales Architecture. You will partner closely with the Sales and Media teams to engineer high-leverage GTM strategies. This involves designing automated frameworks to meticulously track sales velocity, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and pipeline health. Utilizing AI, you will model complex incentive structures and conduct ROI simulations to ensure that sales behaviors are strategically aligned with our long-term financial objectives, driving sustainable growth and profitability.
