- ⢠As a Financial Advisor (Virtual US) at Alight, you will play a critical role in helping retirement plan participants achieve financial security by providing personalized guidance on investment strategies, retirement planning, and employer-sponsored plansâdirectly contributing to Alightâs mission of building a healthier, more financially resilient workforce.
- ⢠You will serve as the trusted point of contact for clients navigating complex financial decisions, combining technical expertise with empathetic communication to empower individuals to make informed choices about their long-term financial wellbeing.
- ⢠Day to day, you will receive inbound calls from retirement plan participants seeking assistance with financial planning, investment options, and account management, ensuring each interaction is solution-oriented and compliant with regulatory standards.
- ⢠You will make warm outbound calls to prospects expressing interest in financial advisory services, guiding them through the onboarding process and helping them establish tailored financial plans aligned with their goals.
- ⢠You will participate in setting up new client accounts and maintaining existing ones, accurately recording transactions, contributions, withdrawals, and plan changes in Alightâs secure record-keeping systems.
- ⢠You will explain employer-based retirement plan requirements, including 401(k) rules, vesting schedules, contribution limits, and basic IRS regulations, translating complex financial concepts into clear, actionable advice for diverse audiences.
- ⢠You will interact with customers to resolve account inquiries, update personal or beneficiary information, troubleshoot basic technical issues with the platform, and provide requested product literature or educational materials.
- ⢠You will actively listen to uncover both stated and unstated client needs, using conceptual thinking to identify patterns in financial behavior and recommend suitable investment strategies or planning adjustments.
- ⢠You will use data-driven insights to persuade and influence clients toward prudent financial decisions, balancing objectivity with empathy to build trust and long-term advisory relationships.
- ⢠You will demonstrate sustained confidence, resilience, and professionalism during high-stakes or emotionally charged client interactions, maintaining composure while delivering consistent, high-quality service.

- ⢠Series 65 or 66 license is required to provide investment advisory services and discuss securities-related topics with clients.
- ⢠Proven experience delivering financial planning and investment advisory services, preferably in a retirement plan, wealth management, or financial services environment.
- ⢠Demonstrated ability to educate clients on complex retirement and investment conceptsâsuch as asset allocation, diversification, tax implications, and retirement income strategiesâin clear, accessible language.
- ⢠Strong interpersonal and rapport-building skills, with a track record of establishing trust and long-term relationships with diverse client populations.
- ⢠Capacity to utilize conceptual thinking to identify financial patterns, apply planning principles, and clarify intricate information for clients with varying levels of financial literacy.
- ⢠Active listening skills to discern both articulated and unarticulated client needs, enabling personalized and proactive financial guidance.
- ⢠Ability to use data and financial analysis to persuade and influence clients toward sound, objective financial decisions aligned with their goals.
- ⢠Demonstrated sustained confidence, resilience, and professionalism during client interactions, especially when addressing concerns about market volatility, retirement readiness, or financial uncertainty.
