  • • The Financial Analyst I at CareSource Management Group Company plays a critical role in supporting the organization’s financial health by analyzing utilization trends, costs, revenues, and financial obligations to forecast future performance and inform strategic decisions. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial reporting and identifying cost-saving opportunities within the healthcare and managed care sectors.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, producing, and validating reports from detailed claims, eligibility, pharmacy, and clinical data; compiling and analyzing financial and clinical information to evaluate medical contracts and product lines; ensuring data integrity by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of computer information systems; assisting in the development of revenue and medical expense forecasts and budgets while monitoring monthly variances to identify trends; researching trends and patterns using departmental reports, databases, and data mining techniques; suggesting improvements to internal analysis processes aligned with organizational goals; supporting financial control by reconciling internal data sets with state-provided information such as enrollment files and reimbursement records; utilizing SQL and/or SAS experience (preferred) to analyze medical, contract, and administrative activity; making necessary changes to ensure compliance with MAR, regulatory, and organizational requirements; and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

  • • In this role, the Financial Analyst I will develop strong analytical and technical skills in healthcare finance, data analysis, and financial forecasting. The position offers opportunities to deepen expertise in managed care economics, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting systems, while building proficiency in Excel, SQL/SAS, and data visualization tools. Success in this role can lead to advancement into senior financial analyst, finance business partner, or specialized analytics positions within the organization.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in accounting, finance, economics, computer sciences, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
  • • Previous experience in a financial field is preferred
  • • Managed care or healthcare experience is preferred
  • • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
  • • Knowledge of SQL and/or SAS is preferred but not required
  • • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
