• • Your core mission is to turn raw financial data into actionable insight. Every day you will dive deep into Token Metrics’ proprietary datasets—spanning on-chain metrics, macro-economic indicators, and exchange flows—to surface trends that directly influence portfolio construction and risk management decisions for retail and institutional clients.
• • You will build and maintain dynamic financial models in Google Sheets and Excel, incorporating discounted cash-flow, Monte-Carlo simulations, and scenario analyses to forecast token valuations, liquidity needs, and capital allocation strategies. These models are reviewed by senior analysts and often presented to the executive team within 48 hours of completion.
• • Research macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions that impact crypto markets—think Fed policy shifts, regulatory developments, Layer-2 adoption rates, and staking yields. Your concise briefs (500–800 words) will be circulated internally every Monday morning and occasionally repurposed for client newsletters.
• • Prepare accounting and financial reports that comply with US GAAP. You will reconcile wallet balances, track token vesting schedules, and calculate impairment losses on digital assets, ensuring that month-end close is accurate and audit-ready.
• • Evaluate capital expenditures and asset depreciation for Token Metrics’ infrastructure investments, including validator nodes, cloud services, and data partnerships. You will present ROI analyses that guide future CapEx decisions and optimize the firm’s cost of capital.
• • Establish and continuously refine financial records, statements, and rolling 12-month profit plans. You will own the integrity of these documents, version-control them in Google Drive, and flag any anomalies to the Head of Finance within 24 hours.
• • Identify financial performance trends and risk factors—such as concentration risk in liquidity pools or correlation spikes during market stress—and translate them into clear, prioritized recommendations. Your insights will feed directly into Token Metrics’ AI ranking algorithms.
• • Collaborate cross-functionally with risk analysts, data engineers, and product managers to validate assumptions, stress-test forecasts, and ensure that financial projections align with technical roadmaps and marketing campaigns.
• • Present findings via succinct slide decks and interactive dashboards (Looker Studio, Google Slides) to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Expect to deliver at least two formal presentations per month to senior leadership.
• • Contribute to ad-hoc strategic projects, including token-launch economics, treasury diversification strategies, and competitor benchmarking studies. Your work will be credited in internal wikis and may be cited in Token Metrics’ annual report.
• • This is an evaluative, unpaid internship, but exceptional performers frequently receive return offers for full-time analyst roles or extended contract engagements. You will receive structured feedback every two weeks and have direct access to mentorship from ex-Goldman Sachs and ex-McKinsey professionals on the team.

� Requirements

• • Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in business, accounting, finance, economics, or a related quantitative field
• • Demonstrated knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
• • Proven experience with financial forecasting, corporate finance models, and information analysis—evidenced by coursework, case competitions, internships, or personal projects
• • Advanced proficiency in G-Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and spreadsheet modeling; familiarity with databases and financial software applications is a plus
• • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into concise, actionable insights
• • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a deep curiosity about financial markets, crypto assets, and the global financial system
