- • Manage relationships with external accounting firm and statutory auditor, ensuring compliance and audit readiness for the 2026 financial year audit conducted in 2027.
- • Own tax compliance across direct and indirect taxes including corporate income tax, VAT (including reverse-charge on non-EU services), and other applicable French taxes in coordination with the specialist tax advisor.
- • Design and implement accounting policies for revenue recognition on subscription and card interchange revenue streams, accruals, intercompany transactions, and foreign exchange treatment.
- • Build and own the bad debt provisioning and collections framework for the subscription business, collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Service teams.
- • Develop and maintain reconciliation workflows between Cryptio (crypto sub-ledger), subscription billing platform, Banking-as-a-Service provider, and Pennylane (core accounting platform).
- • Lead audit readiness preparation by documenting internal controls, ensuring audit trail integrity, and standardizing processes across all accounting systems.
- • Drive automation and AI adoption across the finance function by building workflows, leveraging AI for analysis and reporting, and integrating data tools as core operational leverage.
- • Contribute to the finance systems roadmap, including selection and implementation of close-management software and finance productivity tools.

- • Translate complex accounting, tax, and control topics for non-finance stakeholders and challenge constructively with external partners including auditors, tax advisors, and regulators.
- • Operate with high autonomy in a fast-moving environment, making consequential decisions with limited supervision and driving outcomes across cross-functional teams.
- • Embrace a growth mindset, continuously learning and adapting as the company scales from a single-product offering to a multi-product platform across European markets.
- • Ensure all financial processes support the company’s preparation for Series B fundraising in late 2026 / Q1 2027 and regulatory expansion under French and European financial frameworks.
🎯 Requirements
- • 10 years of relevant professional experience, starting in audit at a top-tier firm (Big Four or equivalent), followed by industry experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Manager, or Senior Accountant.

- • Strong knowledge of French statutory accounting (Plan Comptable Général); familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
- • Hands-on experience with modern accounting platforms (Pennylane, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar); familiarity with crypto sub-ledger tools (Cryptio, Bitwave, Lukka, or similar) is highly valued.
- • Native French speaker with professional working proficiency in English.
- • Strong technology and data fluency: comfortable with SQL or equivalent, light scripting (Python, JavaScript, or similar), AI productivity tools, and automation platforms.
