📋 Description

• • Own the full accounting cycle for Omnea’s UK parent and US subsidiary—monthly close, balance-sheet reconciliations, inter-company eliminations, and cash-flow reporting—without any outsourced bookkeeping. You will design the chart of accounts, set the cut-off calendar, and ensure every journal entry is supported, reviewed, and posted within five business days.
• • Build and run the revenue-recognition engine for our multi-year SaaS contracts. You will interpret ASC 606, design automated schedules in NetSuite, and partner with RevOps to ensure every invoice, credit note, and amendment flows cleanly into deferred-revenue and ARR waterfalls that the board trusts.
• • Manage global indirect-tax compliance: UK VAT, US state sales-tax, and any new jurisdictions we enter. You will register where required, file returns, and maintain a rolling forecast of cash-tax outflows so the CFO can model runway under different growth scenarios.
• • Lead the annual statutory audit and corporation-tax cycle end-to-end. You will prepare PBC schedules, liaise with Cooper Parry (UK) and CLA (US), clear technical queries, and deliver signed accounts and tax computations ahead of deadline—turning audit season from fire-drill into a predictable process.
• • Design and own the billing-to-cash workflow. You will configure Stripe, Netsuite, and Salesforce to auto-generate invoices, chase overdue balances, and reconcile cash daily. Target: DSO < 30 days and < 1 % billing errors.
• • Build the internal control framework that scales with us. Document approval matrices, segregation-of-duty maps, and supplier-onboarding checklists; then roll out an expense-management tool (e.g., Spendesk) so every pound is pre-approved, receipt-captured, and policy-compliant.
• • Partner with the CFO on investor and board reporting. Once the core close is rock-solid, you will own the KPI pack: ARR, NRR, gross-margin bridge, burn multiple, and cash runway. You will also maintain the forecast model and scenario library that feeds Series C diligence.
• • Refine transfer-pricing policy and inter-company agreements as we expand. You will model cost-plus vs. TNMM methods, prepare contemporaneous documentation, and ensure inter-company balances settle quarterly to keep FX exposure minimal.
• • Automate everything that can be automated. You will evaluate tools like FloQast, Tray.io, or native NetSuite scripts to cut manual work, then train the Ops juniors so the finance stack becomes self-serve for AP, payroll journals, and month-end accruals.
• • Be the finance business partner to every department. You will translate budget vs. actual variances into plain English for Sales, Engineering, and GTM so leaders can re-allocate spend in real time and hit their efficiency targets.
• • Champion a culture of financial discipline without red tape. You will run lunch-and-learns on “Why POs matter” and “How to read a SaaS P&L,” turning finance from bottleneck into accelerator.
• • Contribute to ad-hoc strategic projects—fundraising data rooms, new entity set-ups, M&A integration playbooks—whatever it takes to keep Omnea moving at lightning speed while staying compliant.
