📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end financial control environment for Axi’s India entities, acting as the single point of accountability for all accounting, statutory reporting, regulatory finance, and financial operations across the region.
• • Design, document, and continuously improve scalable processes that meet both local Indian GAAP and global group standards, ensuring zero-defect month-end close within five working days and 100 % regulatory submission accuracy.
• • Establish the finance backbone for a brand-new SEBI-regulated entity from the ground up—chart of accounts, policies, controls, banking structure, ERP configuration, and audit-ready evidence—while simultaneously keeping existing entities running flawlessly.
• • Prepare and file all statutory financial statements, direct & indirect tax returns (GST, TDS, MAT, DTA), and regulatory capital & liquidity reports to SEBI, RBI, and IFSCA; coordinate external audits and liaise with tax advisors to minimize risk and optimize cash tax outflow.
• • Partner with the Group CFO, Head of FP&A, and Head of Tax on group consolidation, transfer-pricing compliance, cash repatriation strategies, and ad-hoc M&A or capital-raising projects, translating complex India regulations into clear commercial recommendations.
• • Drive daily financial operations—banking, AP, AR, treasury, payroll, inter-company settlements—while embedding automated controls (maker-checker, segregation of duties, SOX-style documentation) that can withstand Big-4 scrutiny.
• • Build and mentor a lean, high-performing local finance team; create succession plans, set KPIs, and foster a culture of continuous learning that mirrors Axi’s global values of transparency, ownership, and customer obsession.
• • Serve as the trusted finance business partner to India country management, providing real-time dashboards, margin analysis, product profitability insights, and pricing recommendations that directly influence P&L performance and strategic decisions.
• • Lead entity set-up activities—licensing, statutory registrations, banking KYC, insurance, and legal entity governance—working closely with external counsel, company secretaries, and internal compliance to ensure a fully operational finance function on day one.
• • Champion process excellence initiatives (RPA, Power BI, cloud ERP enhancements) that cut manual effort by 30 % within the first 12 months, freeing the team to focus on value-added analysis and commercial support.
• • Act as the senior finance ambassador in India, representing Axi at industry forums, regulator roundtables, and banking relationships, while safeguarding the firm’s reputation through ethical leadership and unwavering compliance.
