📋 Description

• • Own the quality assurance framework for financial-crime controls across Modulr’s UK and European entities, ensuring every alert, investigation and SAR is reviewed to the highest standard and in line with evolving regulatory expectations.
• • Design, build and continuously refine a risk-based training curriculum that upskills 100+ analysts, investigators and front-line staff on typologies ranging from mule-account networks to sanctions evasion via crypto on-ramps.
• • Run monthly calibration sessions with UK, EU and India-based teams to maintain >95 % inter-rater reliability on alert dispositioning and case narratives, using data-driven feedback loops and scenario-based workshops.
• • Produce quarterly quality scorecards and thematic trend reports for senior leadership, translating complex AML/CTF metrics into clear, actionable insights that directly influence policy, tooling and resourcing decisions.
• • Act as the subject-matter expert during internal and external audits, regulatory visits and partner due-diligence reviews, owning the evidence pack and remediation plan for any quality or training gaps identified.
• • Partner with Product and Engineering to embed quality gates and training nudges inside the case-management system, reducing manual QA touchpoints by 30 % while increasing first-time-right rates.
• • Pilot new technologies (e.g., GenAI narrative review, anomaly-detection models) in controlled sandboxes, measuring uplift in accuracy and analyst productivity before scaling across jurisdictions.
• • Maintain a living library of SOPs, playbooks and quick-reference guides that reflect the latest FCA, PRA, FinCEN and EBA guidance, ensuring version control and instant accessibility for a remote-first workforce.
• • Mentor junior analysts through structured coaching plans, shadowing rotations and career-path mapping, creating a pipeline of future QA and training leads for Modulr’s continued hyper-growth.
• • Champion a culture of curiosity and experimentation by running “lunch-and-learn” deep dives on emerging threats such as synthetic ID fraud, instant-payment scams and sanctions-circumvention typologies.
• • Translate regulatory change (e.g., Travel Rule, EU AMLA package) into bite-sized, role-specific micro-learning modules delivered via our LMS, tracking completion and comprehension rates in real time.
• • Collaborate with Compliance, Risk and Legal to stress-test new product features against financial-crime scenarios, ensuring controls are “built-in” rather than “bolted-on” before go-live.
• • Own the end-to-end feedback loop from customer-facing teams back to QA and Training, ensuring that front-line insights on suspicious behaviour patterns are rapidly codified into updated guidance and training.
• • Represent Modulr at industry forums, webinars and working groups, sharing our quality and training innovations while bringing back external best practices to continuously raise the bar.
• • Deliver measurable impact: within 12 months you will have reduced false-positive rates by 20 %, increased analyst productivity by 15 % and achieved 100 % regulatory training compliance across all jurisdictions.
