- • As a Financial Operations Manager at Taaraconnect Inc., you will run the day-to-day engine of the finance function for a venture-backed hardware startup scaling toward its next phase of growth, actively owning how money moves through the company—from who we pay and why, to whether it matches the plan.
- • You will manage end-to-end disbursement of payments to vendors and partners, partner with and oversee the accounting team, run budget vs actuals cycles, track weekly cash position and maintain a rolling 13-week cash forecast, drive tax compliance, establish scalable spend controls, and grow into a controller function by strengthening cost accounting practices for accurate unit economics.
- • Taara, born at X (Google’s Moonshot Factory), is pioneering wireless optical communication and photonics chip technologies to connect billions lacking affordable internet, scaling innovative solutions globally to bridge the digital divide.
- • In this role, you will upgrade financial processes to stay ahead of business goals, provide visibility for fast decision-making, ensure audit-ready books, and build the operational foundation that supports Taara’s mission-driven growth.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4-7 years of experience in finance operations or accounting, ideally within venture-backed or mid-size technology, hardware, or manufacturing companies
- • Hands-on ownership of an end-to-end accounts payable or procure-to-pay cycle, including vendor onboarding, approvals, and payment execution
- • Experience working alongside accounting providers or reviewing and relying on a finance team’s close and books
- • Proficiency with modern accounting and spend management tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, BILL, Procurify, Ramp)
- • Ability to work in the Sunnyvale office at least 3 days per week

- • US base salary range of $140,000 – $175,000 + bonus + equity + benefits
