- • The Financial Planning and Analysis Professional 2 at Humana Inc. plays a critical role in transforming financial data into strategic insights that drive organizational decision-making. This position is essential for ensuring senior leadership has accurate, timely, and actionable financial forecasts and analyses to support long-term planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting, compiling, verifying, and analyzing financial and economic data from multiple sources; building and maintaining financial models to forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability; preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management; identifying trends and variances in financial performance; supporting the annual budgeting and forecasting cycle; conducting ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives; ensuring data integrity through validation and reconciliation processes; utilizing SQL to extract and manipulate data from relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle; leveraging advanced Excel skills for complex data manipulation, scenario analysis, and visualization; collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather inputs and validate assumptions; and continuously improving reporting processes for greater accuracy and efficiency.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- • Intermediate or advanced proficiency with relational databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle, or similar) and strong SQL skills for writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting queries
- • Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with complex formulas, pivot tables, data visualization, and financial modeling
- • Proven ability to manipulate and analyze large financial datasets for accurate reporting and forecasting
- • Preferred: 3–5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the health insurance industry
- • Preferred: Advanced Excel skills and intermediate or advanced programming skills (e.g., VBA, Python, or similar)
