This remote position is integral to our mission of simplifying healthcare management for individuals and stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. You will be the frontline in providing exceptional service, ensuring that patients receive timely and accurate documentation to support their health and well-being.
  • • Your primary responsibility will involve the meticulous completion of FMLA and Short-Term Disability paperwork. This requires a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of medical terminology, and proficiency in navigating medical office processes and procedures. You will be expected to process these forms efficiently and accurately, upholding the highest standards of quality and customer service.
  • • A significant aspect of this role includes direct communication with patients and physician coordinators. You will engage with them in an upbeat, patient-centered manner, addressing inquiries and providing updates regarding their disability and FMLA paperwork. This communication is crucial for managing expectations and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.
  • • You will also be responsible for processing medical record requests, adhering strictly to HIPAA and HITECH compliance regulations. This involves safeguarding sensitive patient information while facilitating necessary documentation for clients. Your diligence in this area is paramount to maintaining patient privacy and trust.
  • • The role demands the ability to complete FMLA/Disability forms by utilizing industry-standard responses tailored to specific medical specialties. This requires a proactive approach to understanding and applying relevant medical knowledge to each case.
  • • You will manage incoming calls, assisting multiple lines and meticulously capturing call data on an Excel tracking log. Providing excellent customer service means being attentive, respectful, and efficient in every interaction, ensuring that each caller feels valued and supported.
  • • A key function is to validate and process all incoming requests for Protected Health Information (PHI), ensuring that all requests are legitimate and handled with the utmost care and compliance.
  • • You will be accountable for ensuring that patient disability forms are completed within a 5-7 day turnaround time after payment is received, demonstrating your commitment to efficiency and client satisfaction.
  • • Daily tasks will include pulling patient forms and PHI requests for invoicing and loading them into the RMS system, requiring strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • • Establishing and maintaining professional, positive relationships with all account clients is essential. You will serve as a key point of contact, fostering trust and ensuring their needs are met.
  • • You will actively monitor all EMR accounts to guarantee that all requests are received and processed within the required timeframes, proactively identifying and resolving any potential bottlenecks.
  • • Verifying patient information using key identifiers is a critical step in ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • • Conducting quality screenings on incoming PHI is vital for protecting patient data and preventing unauthorized access or disclosure.
  • • You will verify the contact information of requesting parties, including fax numbers or addresses, to ensure accurate delivery of documentation.
  • • Maintaining an Accounting of Disclosure Log for all medical records released is a regulatory requirement that you will meticulously manage.
