đź“‹ Description
- • A fast-moving, early-stage healthtech company is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join their small, high-output team in Miami, FL.
- • This company builds an integrated SaaS platform that helps healthcare groups — including urgent cares and emergency departments — automate and optimize staffing operations: payroll, scheduling, credentialing, performance tracking, and AI-powered clinical documentation.
- • In this role, you'll be customer-facing from day one, translating clinical and operational needs into shipped software.
- • You'll work closely with customers on-site, travel frequently, and contribute across the full stack.
- • New grads and early-career engineers (0–1 year of experience) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- • Build and ship front-end and back-end features using TypeScript, React, Deno, Node.js, and SQL.
- • Collaborate directly with customers — clinical teams, medical directors, and operational staff — to gather requirements and iterate on solutions.
- • Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot production services on AWS.
- • Travel frequently for on-site customer engagements and deployments.
- • Contribute to product design and rapid prototyping; move ideas to shipped, reliable code quickly.
- • Be a true generalist — step up wherever the team needs you.
- • Required:
- • 0–1 years of professional software development experience (new grads welcome).
- • Proficiency in full-stack TypeScript — comfortable on both the frontend (React) and backend (Node.js / Deno).
- • Working knowledge of SQL and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills for customer-facing engineering work.
- • Willingness to be based in Miami, FL (relocation from anywhere in the US is welcome).
- • Willingness to travel frequently for customer engagements.
- • Must be eligible to work in the US — visa sponsorship is not available.
- • Nice to Have:
- • Experience working in or alongside healthcare, clinical, or operational teams.
- • Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced early-stage environments.
- • High emotional maturity and a collaborative, low-ego working style.
- • Compensation & Benefits:
- • Base salary: $70,000–$80,000 (slightly negotiable), with total compensation target of $120,000–$150,000.
- • Total comp includes equity, covered travel expenses, and housing and transportation coverage during customer engagements.
- • Opportunity to grow with an early-stage team and take on significant ownership quickly.
- • Location:
- • This is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL.
- • Candidates relocating from elsewhere in the US are welcome.
- • The role involves frequent travel to customer sites across the US.
