📋 Description

• Ship production-grade AI agents and automation workflows that solve high-stakes business problems in cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and People.
• Collaborate directly with Subject Matter Experts to translate manual business processes into performant, reliable technical specifications and agentic architectures.
• Rapidly prototype and deploy end-to-end AI-driven solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks such as LLM APIs, RAG patterns, and agentic SDKs, owning projects from discovery through production.
• Build and maintain secure, robust integrations between OnePay’s core SaaS stack (Salesforce, Workday, etc.) and custom AI services, ensuring data integrity and compliance with security protocols.
• Empower non-technical teams by educating them on AI-first mindsets and enabling them to build and extend their own automated agents.
• Instrument monitoring systems and guardrails to ensure all AI workflows are secure, compliant, and resilient at scale, with proper handling of PII, access controls, audit logging, and coordination with Legal and Security teams.
• Design and execute evaluation frameworks to validate agent accuracy, reliability, and regression behavior prior to and after production deployment.
• Lead structured discovery sessions with business stakeholders to surface requirements, assess technical feasibility, and produce clear technical scopes before development begins.
• Create reusable playbooks, architecture decision records, and handoff documentation to enable teams to maintain and extend the systems you build.
• Operate as a technical force multiplier by walking across organizational lines to identify friction points, drive solutions, and deliver impact without waiting for formal requests.
• Work within a microservice-oriented architecture on AWS, integrating with tools like NestJS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services, while adapting quickly to the company’s evolving tech stack.
• Ensure all solutions adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including coordination with Legal and Security review processes for data handling and system access.
• Demonstrate a product mindset by proactively identifying inefficiencies, designing solutions, and presenting trade-offs credibly to both individual contributors and senior leadership.
• Use Python or equivalent languages (TypeScript/Go) to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code within a shared codebase, prioritizing scalability and reliability in production environments.
• Maintain familiarity with REST APIs, SQL-based data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS) to support seamless system integrations and data flow across platforms.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional engineering experience with a proven track record of shipping production code that users depend on daily.
• Hands-on expertise with modern AI tooling, including LLM APIs, agent frameworks (LangGraph, Claude SDK), and developer productivity tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation techniques, including prompt regression testing, human-in-the-loop review, and automated eval pipelines.
• Strong Python proficiency (or equivalent in TypeScript/Go) and ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code in a shared codebase.
• Experience with systems integration, including REST APIs, SQL data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
• Drive and proactivity—comfortable operating across organizational boundaries to identify problems and deliver solutions without waiting for direction.
