📋 Description
- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer with an Applied AI Focus at Titan AI Inc., you will be the engineer on client engagements, working on the Titan platform and toolkit to deliver agentic systems that solve real banking workflows. You’ll own the build while being supported by senior FDEs and the platform team, spending most of your time inside Titan Foundry, Banking-Reasoning Models, and the Banking Agents framework to configure and extend solutions for each client’s specific problem.
- • Day to day, you will build and ship agentic workflows on the Titan platform to solve specific banking use cases such as lending, credit, compliance, and operations; configure agents, write integrations, design evaluations, and wire up observability to prove things work in production; partner directly with clients — operators, analysts, and sometimes their engineers — to gather requirements, demo progress, and absorb feedback; iterate fast through hypothesis, prototype, feedback, refinement, and shipping; capture patterns back into the platform so future builds start ahead; and rapidly learn the banking domain through immersion in risk, controls, lending lifecycle, and regulatory context.
- • Titan AI Inc. is a pre-Series A company building the AI platform for banking, founded by experts from Goldman Sachs, KeyBank, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. The team has built and sold companies into the top 25 U.S. banks and is focused on enabling the two million employees across 4,000+ U.S. banks to safely and securely use modern AI tools purpose-built for financial services. The platform includes Titan Foundry (a secure gateway to top AI models), Banking-Reasoning Models (small language models trained by ex-regulators and banking leaders), and Banking Agents (a configurable AI application layer for lending, compliance, underwriting, and operations).
- • In this role, you will grow into the senior FDE archetype by taking on more off-platform building, deepening partnerships with client engineering teams, and broadening architectural ownership. You’ll learn rapidly through hands-on client work, develop end-to-end project ownership skills, and gain deep expertise in applied AI for banking — positioning yourself for senior technical and client-facing leadership within a fast-moving, impact-driven startup.
🎯 Requirements
- • Prompt and context engineering experience, including understanding language model responses and optimizing prompts and context for better results from smaller models
- • Full-stack development with a stronger backend focus; Python is core, TypeScript is helpful
- • Experience building agents with LangChain, LangGraph, DeepAgents, and model-provider SDKs (e.g., Claude SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK); strong side-project experience is acceptable
- • Familiarity with agent search patterns such as agent file search, vector RAG, and vectorless RAG
- • Some exposure to AI evals, observability, or training loops — having played with the tooling is sufficient
- • Awareness of AI security concerns (data controls, gateways, observability) and willingness to learn more
- • Process orchestration and workflow automation experience
