- • Join Clarium LLC, a pioneering company at the forefront of transforming healthcare through AI-powered technology. Our mission is to equip hospitals with cutting-edge tools, enhancing operational efficiency and freeing up healthcare professionals from burdensome manual tasks and unintuitive systems. We are building a collaborative data platform that leverages AI to automate daily operational and administrative workflows, allowing healthcare experts to focus on high-complexity issues that truly demand their attention.
- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer (Data), you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between our innovative platform and the complex data ecosystems of our hospital clients and their suppliers. This role is designed for a highly motivated, hands-on engineer who thrives on direct customer engagement, excels at navigating ambiguous technical landscapes, and takes pride in owning production data workflows from inception to completion.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to work directly with customers, deeply understanding their existing systems, and architecting and implementing robust data integrations. This involves designing reliable ingestion and transformation workflows that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- • You will collaborate closely with our talented data engineering and product management teams. Your insights from customer interactions will be crucial in iterating on customer data feeds that directly power end-user features. You will ensure that all integrations are not only correct but also production-ready, adhering to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
- • A significant part of your role will involve building reusable connectors and internal tools. This proactive approach will significantly accelerate the speed and enhance the scalability of future integrations, contributing to the long-term success and efficiency of the Clarium platform.
- • This position transcends traditional backend engineering. Success hinges on your comfort with ambiguity, your ability to adapt to unfamiliar systems, and your proficiency in frequent, effective customer interaction. You will have full ownership of production systems, requiring a proactive and responsible approach.
- • If you are passionate about building resilient, scalable systems and maintaining a close connection to the real-world problems your work solves, this role offers a unique and rewarding opportunity.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of customer data integrations, from initial discovery and requirements gathering to design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
- • This includes understanding diverse data formats, protocols, and the intricacies of various hospital and supplier IT infrastructures.
- • You will act as a technical liaison, translating complex customer needs into actionable engineering tasks and solutions.
- • Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for integrations, workflows, and internal tools will be a key aspect of ensuring knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability.
- • You will contribute to defining best practices for data integration and deployment within Clarium, influencing the technical direction of the company.
- • Troubleshooting and resolving production issues quickly and effectively will be critical to maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
- • You will play a vital role in the continuous improvement of our data platform by providing feedback on product features and identifying areas for enhancement based on your field experience.
- • This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine desire to make a tangible impact in the healthcare industry.
- • You will be empowered to make technical decisions and drive solutions, working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
- • Embrace the challenge of working with legacy systems and modern cloud architectures alike, finding elegant solutions to complex data challenges.
- • Contribute to a culture of operational excellence, ensuring that all deployed systems are robust, secure, and performant.
- • Your work will directly contribute to Clarium's mission of accelerating healthcare transformation, improving patient care, and enhancing the efficiency of healthcare providers worldwide.
- • This is an opportunity to be a foundational member of a fast-growing company, shaping the future of healthcare technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional experience in an engineering role, with a focus on data pipelines and production systems.
- • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation, coupled with expert-level SQL skills for data querying and transformation.
- • Proven experience in building, deploying, and operating robust data pipelines and production-grade systems, including familiarity with CI/CD practices and monitoring tools.

- • Demonstrated ability to work directly with clients, effectively gathering requirements, troubleshooting technical issues, and delivering successful integrations.
